It's playback of a film which should've triggered a track title match. A bumper did play before the movie started, so vantage point was definitely engaged somehow.

there is nothing on that log that contains Vantage Point

Ok so something odd is happening.

Index 0 and 1 are not present and the log shows that it's finding the first Intro at index 2. where it should be at 0.  Even if you haven't run a library scan it should still post what type of intros are in the configuration and at what index they are at in the debug log.

I know it might be a pain, but the Vantagepoint.xml file might be corrupt. in plugins/configuration folder on the server install

if you want to post that here i can take a look at it and see if it's buggered for what ever reason.

Original on screen text: "For example if you want intros to play for TV Shows that are longer than 45mins - enter 45 - this will only enable Vantage Point on Movies that are longer than 45 mins Anything below 45mins will ignore all intros and play as normal"

So far though, good work, be nice to amend a configured item in the future too 

This is now fixed and I can save the minimum time for TV Episodes.

Trailers play when they should. Only thing that's an issue is the track title.

Yeah but what i dont get is that thy are not named in the debug log as a trailer.

The plugin is wonderful! It fixes the rigidness of Cinema Intros and adds additional features and control over what is played, how many items are played, and when. It's great seeing my choice of items play before movies (Personal Bumper, Trailer Bumber, Online Trailer Bumper, Online Trailer, Feature Presention Bumper, and Certification). All bumbers are multiple items except for the Trailer Bumber which displays a single "Movie Preview" Bumper.

The issue of not being able to edit an item after it is created is no big deal. It's so simple to delete it and recreate it with the changes you want.

I love it! Thanks so much for your effort and hard work on it.

After upgrading from v1, I've been using the plugin all week, and I love the updates. Trailers work fantastic, and it's a huge upgrade in functionality - I can successfully use a combination of local and online trailers with ease!

Unfortunately, outside of trailers I'm struggling to get Single Intros or Multiple intros to play. When I try to play single intro files, they are found correctly in the UI and seem to be correctly indexed in the logs but they never appear on screen. Single intro files/folders don't play but it will skip right to trailers if they are in the VP queue. It behaves this way for me on web, android, IOS, Roku, and Xbox so it doesn't seem to be client specific. I think they are trying to play and failing for some reason.

I haven't reported it yet, because I'm still trying to troubleshoot it. It must be something on my end since it seems everyone else is using them without issue. Initially I thought it was a permissions issue (I'm using a Synology for server and media), but the folder settings look good and if I create an emby library out of the intro files they play individually through emby. I'm running library scans (obviously, the local trailers are getting picked up) and have insured the clients have Cinema Intros active. This weekend I will try uninstalling/reinstalling the plugin and clearing the config file. If that doesn't work I will ask for help and post the logs, because I'm really scratching my head on this one.

I can get VantagePoint with TV episodes to work on WEB CLIENT and LG client, but the Amazon Fire Stick Max 4K will not display the video using tag matching.

The Amazon Fire Stick 4K Emby client has "Enable Cinema Intros" ticked.

Does the Fire TV Emby client not understand Cinema Intros yet????

For me it's been solid, setup is much better than Version 1 especialy the display bug in settings is now fixed, havent tried Tv as i dont apply it there, as mentioned in beta test, minor odd issue on my setup but a docker boot resolved that, however it is picking up tags and cert pre rolls perfectly.

Not added new prerolls to test as i know u mentioned issue with how that works (emby change) so not sure if thats fixed or not but overall much better setup experience that works perfectly

I’m not sure about firestick 

can you set debug logging on and then rotate server log, then play with intros on firestick. Send me the log here or PM if you wish to keep it private.

Hi Cheese. finally got round to testing VP playback and i had an issue but pretty sure i have resolved it now. it was user perception but you might want to think about how some of the setup is described.

What i wanted - a single intro chosen at random from a folder with X intros in

What i chose - single intro option, entered the path as the folder

What happened - nothing

I worked out from looking at your xml you uploaded that i the single intro option expects to be pointed at a specific media file not a folder and that i need to see the folder tag in the xml for it to work. I'm retrying now with the proper setup and expecting it to work.

So either you need an error when a user points a single intro option at a folder and not a single file or some better description of the options IMO

Great feedback bud, yeah it's really hard trying to describe what each option does.. lol when you develop, my head is full of techy jargin but trying to translate that often comes out wrong.

 I can add in some better descriptions but also clicking the help icon should take you to the first post in this thread which provides instructions on what each option does and how to set it up.

But yeah i will add an alert if selecting a folder when it should be a file

The Fire app does not currently play intros for TV.  Only movies.

The standard app should work though.

Nope nothing yet, as I can’t get mine to fail no matter what i do.

maybe try deleting your VantagePoint.xml file and restart the server and try again. Need your help here to do some fault finding yourself. The logs don’t seem right which i explained before.

I’m away tomorrow to go offshore in Netherlands and then onto Germany afterwards so will be a couple of weeks maybe before i can get back to coding. but that depends on whether i have an easy time or working 18hr days

No, it did trip me up as well, but worked it out after trying stuff. I saw it as Single Intro pointed to a folder containing many and would be random then realised multiple intros was that.
