    viewing images generates high CPU

Hello, I have following issue: - picture library with "normal" pictures (approx 2000x4000 pixels, 4MB size) - when entering the folder containing the pictures, my CPU hits 100% Running Version 3.2.20.0 on a WIN10 box Thumbs are not cached. Every new session in a browser generates the same problem Is there anything to do about it? Pushing my server in overdrive every time I want to display a picture makes it impossible to use. kind regards, Bart
  2. Hello, Running emby-portable (Version 3.5.3.0) as a service on a WIN10 box with latest updates. On my monitoring software, I noticed that there was a certain pattern in CPU load: After analyzing this, it seems to be my emby server: And checking my emby logs on the problematic timeslots: 2018-09-23 02:24:05.683 Info TaskManager: IntervalTrigger fired for task: Convert media 2018-09-23 02:24:05.683 Info TaskManager: Queueing task SyncConvertScheduledTask 2018-09-23 02:24:05.683 Info TaskManager: Executing Convert media ... 2018-09-23 03:16:36.857 Info TaskManager: Convert media Completed after 52 minute(s) and 31 seconds ... 2018-09-23 05:24:08.625 Info TaskManager: IntervalTrigger fired for task: Convert media 2018-09-23 05:24:08.625 Info TaskManager: Queueing task SyncConvertScheduledTask 2018-09-23 05:24:08.625 Info TaskManager: Executing Convert media ... 2018-09-23 06:16:41.102 Info TaskManager: Convert media Completed after 52 minute(s) and 32 seconds ... 2018-09-23 08:24:08.636 Info TaskManager: IntervalTrigger fired for task: Convert media 2018-09-23 08:24:08.636 Info TaskManager: Queueing task SyncConvertScheduledTask 2018-09-23 08:24:08.636 Info TaskManager: Executing Convert media ... 2018-09-23 09:16:46.827 Info TaskManager: Convert media Completed after 52 minute(s) and 38 seconds On my dashoard https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/web/index.html#!/scheduledtasks.html,I can see the job is running: Problem is: I am NOT adding any new media (defenitly no during the night :-) ) and nobody was watching anything. In fact, server should be stable an not doing anything for last days/weeks. So, what exactly is my server converting??? Is it needed? Any help is appreciated, so thanx for taking a closer look a this, Kind regards, Bart

High CPU Usage when idle on 3.0.7200.0

Hi all, Is anyone else experiencing unusually high CPU usage on 3.0.7200? It started on 3.0.71 but has not gone away since. It is extremely high even when nothing is going on, no users accessing the system, no scheduled tasks running, and no hung processes or transcodings found using 'ps aux |grep emby'. Here is a screenshot of htop: As you can see from the log, no activity is being logged. The only entries are me viewing the web interface. Anyone got any ideas? Idle Cpu ~15-20%

I've been using this app for a while, on Version 3.0.6060.0 on Windows 10 64 bit and have always had a CPU idle rate of 15-20%. I searched the community and found a similar topic however the problem seemed to be related to a music library and an older version of Emby. I'd like to figure out why the CPU utilization is so high and wonder if there is a way to prevent it? I have an AMD FX-8370 8-core CPU. I've attached a log. Thanks much in advance. server-63607080136.txt
