Hello, Standard Definition content is not being properly detected by resolution. 576p/i (1024x576 16:9 and 768x576 4:3) is being incorrectly recognised as 480p/i. Could this please be corrected?

I noticed that the Emby Android app, when I stream SD channels, it is not deinterlacing....so i see the annoying scan lines. Is there a setting somewhere that can help with this?

Hello, I know the technical reasons for the following issues have already been discussed but I was wondering when will they be fixed? Emby on my android phone running Marshmallow is pretty much useless at this point I might as well uninstall it. I definitely would not have bought the premier version if I were looking at it today. The big issues I see are: 1) Lack of External SD Card support. Mega Huge, Monstrous even, in my book. I can't even use the old work around of syncing to the external card and then using a 3rd party player anymore. 2) HTTPS doesn't work over wlan - meh no biggie except - 3) No offline playback support I'd rather not have to move to Plex (assuming they can do it) as I've already paid for Emby but I do want to use the nice 128GB SD card in my phone. Any timeline at all? Are we talking days, weeks, months, years???? Please? Thanks

I was wondering about how streaming HD contenet down to SD works and how cpu intensive it is. Say you have a movie in 720 or 1080p but only want to stream it to a lower quality like 480 or 360. Would this count as a full transcoding, or lower? Im assuming a full but am not sure. My internet isn't good enough for high quality streams so that is a concern. Would direct play maybe be better overall?

Feature Request: Record Option - Selectable Source Format
panamajim posted a topic in Feature Requests
I searched but didn't see where this may have been submitted previously. When setting up the option to record (or schedule to record) from Live TV, it would be nice to have the ability to select source formats of standard definition or high definition. Currently my TV provider offers multiple channels of one local station. Two channels may be in SD format and one channel in HD format. Recording a series often yields three copies a recording. The ability to select source format can help reduce the number of duplicate recordings and ensure only the HD or SD versions of a show are recorded according to viewing taste. (Yes, the option to record from a particular channel can be used but there are issues that arise when the HD channel has different programming than the SD channel or the HD channel offers both HD and SD versions.) -
Hi People, First off, Happy New Year to you all! I have a question regarding duplicate movies. When I get my movies I sometimes get early 'CAM' or 'Screener' releases but then download the HD version as soon as it's available, i've been doing this for numerous years but forgot to delete the crappy copies once I've downloaded the HD versions. Now, in my movies folder, I have hundreds of duplicate movie files. So my question to you guys is as follows: Is there any sort of free program (where I can download and use instead of downloading, scanning and then having to pay) to find these duplicate low resolution films?I simply don't have the time to invest sitting there for hours and going through them manually, I would much prefer to just do a scan and then be able to delete the lower resolution finds. Now I've downloaded a few programs (DupeTrooper, easy duplicate finder to name some) and I've scanned my movies folder but these programs are picking up the images as well e.g. If I have say Independence day then these programs are finding 'Independence day-Disc' & 'Independence day-Cover'. I really want a program that can scan for just Movie file types or have that in the options so that it doesn't pick up my images. Thanks for reading, Looking forward to your replies! KayJay
