  1. Hi there, I enabled the camera upload this morning for my samsung galaxy s5. I was able to get it to work buy pointing it to a custom folder on the server machine itself. However that machine has limited space available due to the extensive movie library. I changed the upload path to another machine on my network and I simply cant get it to write to that folder. Sharing is enabled and the HTPC-Mb3 server has read write permissions. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

  3. Hello all I've a little problem since update 3.0.5445.5 In the dashboard it shows me a failed library scan, caused by an illegal sign in a path. I was searching manually in the directories and had a look into the log files, but did'nt found anything. I can also watch all my videos .. so i don't know what to do. Can someone help me please to resolve this problem? Maybe i've to say, that i've modified some other files to create 3 server with 1 configuration .. Well, all my servers have the same problem and are running now update 3.0.5445.6 - which also don't resolve the problem. In the attachement are the latest 3 logfiles from my mainserver. Thanks for help! Best regards, Yoshi server-63553247999.txt server-63553161599.txt server-63553075199.txt

    "Access to Path" denied

Hi, I am having errors showing in the library where the access to the path is denied on two servers. No changes have been made to the system(s) and it worked fine earlier today (with successful media scans). I've had this problem before and there was no resolution other than to delete the entire library setting and add them in again. This time, I tried just adding another network path before deleting anything and got the same error message: "access to path \\server\folder is denied" I can access all the paths in question with Windows Explorer or by logging into the servers remotely (i.e., there are no permission issues; this system has been stable for years) I was able to play a movie in Windows Movie Player, but MB Classic insists it is no longer there. Launching MB Classic now shows the various collections with empty folders. Rebooting the machine with MB Server did not help, nor did starting/stopping the service. Please see the attached log, it shows the server cannot locate any of the paths involved. Any ideas would be appreciated as it seems this time I cannot simply delete the collection paths and start again. server-63527148017.zip
  5. I have lav filters, splitter, madvr etc in non-standard locations because I use K-Lite codec pack for m codec managemen. I have used it for years and am extremely happ with it, so I have no plans to go back to the bad old days of managing my codecs individually and worrying about what will break. The problem is the MBT Video player is hard wired to look for LAV splitter etc in the "C:\Program Files\LAV Fliters" path and not the path I use. All other players are fine with using the filters, splitter etc from their location, without any configuration, so is it possible to update it so it's "path agnostic"? I don't want to have multiple versions installed, it is just asking for trouble.

    Server cannot find path

Hello, I have a problem that seems similar to: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/2810-scan-media-library-hangsnever-completes/ I had the library hang on me, and stopping the server had no effect (it would say "stopping" but just hang there). Manually stopping the server service on the actual server seemed to work except that when the Media Server started up again, it could not find the path, or said access was denied. Removing and adding the path manually or by browsing to the UNC path did not work. Rebooting did not help the first couple of times, until I rebooted both the server and all client machines. At all times I was able to see the remote paths as shares and access the file, even creating and deleting dummy files within. The dashboard then allowed for browsing to the UNC path and I was able to re-add the library. Now, the scan is stuck at 93.9% and pressing “stop” is the same as above, but at least there are no other error messages. Restarting the server did not help, and the log file shows that some items are not found (see below for example). Any assistance would be appreciated. I'd reboot all machines again, but my son is watching something downstairs.
