    emby contex menu not anymore

    Hello, my server db was corupt, had to rebuild it with help from the forum, now i notice that when i am in kodi (htpc livingroom) that when i want to delete a movie i don't get the contex menu when i hit c in kodi so i can delete the movie from the server. I am on server Versie 3.2.50.0 use kodi 17.6 and the emby for kodi addon is 2.3.59. This is on all my clients of kodi ( livingroom/sleeproom/ office) pc's with all win 10. I get a contex menu in kodi but it says only that remove from library (but its local) i checked the delete movie is still on the server.? hope someone can help grtz ed kodi.log

Hi all, Emby Server: 3.2.33.0 Kodi 17.4 Emby Addon for Kodi: 2.3.55 I have a Photo's Library configured (type is "Photos", name is "Foto's & Video's Patrick") and it has contents (see Emby.png) When I open the Emby Pictures addon for Kodi, the Photos Library shows up, but the content is empty. (see Kodi 01-04.png) Anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this problem? I attached the Kodi log and the Emby Server log. Thanks in advance! Emby.log kodi.log
  3. I have two NAS boxes - one with all my current content and one with older archived stuff. I generally don't bother powering on the one with the older stuff unless I really need access to it. When performing a scan, there are thousands and thousands of lines of errors reporting "The network path was not found" as it attempts to scan what seems like every single individual video on that server. I think it would be a good idea for the scan to validate access to the top level of each media location before going any further. If the top level path isn't accessible - then report that and then skip the entire media location.

So far I'm able to scrobble movies fine but I can't get it to scrobble any TV show and I don't know if it's just a problem with the trakt add-on or emby add-on or both so I'm hoping someone can help me with it.   6. Hello Guys I rely heavily on a french tv show subtitles addon called betaseries. You can download the repo here : https://github.com/skylex/xbmc-betaseries/raw/master/repository.betaseries/repository.betaseries-1.0.0.zip I ran 2 tests : - one with fresh installed kodi from scratch with only betaseries addon - one with fresh installed kodi from scratch with betaseries addon and emby for kodi addon The episodeid which are given are different when Emby for Kodi is installed. When Emby for Kodi is installed, the betaseries addon does not find anything because it is looking for something else than usual The kodi log for the version without Emby : https://pastebin.com/cXh3mzPB The epidoseid given is 540372 (which works) The kodi log for the version with Emby : https://pastebin.com/7Q6QRwzD The epidoseid given is 784154 (which does not work) My knowledge ends here unfortunately. I don't know what these episodeid refer to as they are different than the ones from tvdb for instance. I ran the tests twice, on windows and on android tv with kodi 17.3, kodi, 17.5, Kodi 17.6. So it is not machine related The emby server is on a synology NAS. I can provide a log but I am not sure it is useful for this problem. It would be great if someone could take a look. Maybe it is linked to the problem with episodeid which cause trakt for kodi problems ? Anyway, many thanks in advance
  7. I still use Kodi (with the Emby add-on) on a few TVs because it supports displaying notifications that are sent to its API. So for instance, I can call the Kodi JSON API endpoint with a message like: "Motion detected at the front door" "Spa temperature is 103 degrees" "New text message from John Smith" Then the message is displayed as an overlay on whatever content I'm watching (or just at the top of the screen if no media is playing). I'm able to specify a title and duration for the notification as well. In the case of Emby, I would also want to specify if the alert should be broadcast to (a) all connected devices, or ( to all devices logged in with certain USERS I'm happy to provide screenshots for how the alerts display in Kodi if that would be helpful. Any idea if something like this has been considered before or is on the roadmap? It really is the only feature that keeps me using Kodi (with Emby plugin) on my TVs instead of just using Emby directly.
  8. Hi, Very happy with Media Browser's ability to store metadata in a separate folder. However, even though a specific area is defined where all information and images are stored, the subtitles collected by Media Browser are currently downloaded into the actual media folder. For security reasons, many users prefer to mount their data storage read-only from the server. That way, the data is not quite as much as risk in case there is a catastrophic bug (unlikely) or security breach on the media server. Thus it's a great feature for MBS to store the metadata in a local folder on the local server, and then get the video files from a read-only storage system. Currently I believe subtitles is the only core component that desires write access to the video directory directly. Would it be possible to add an option to specify either a separate area for subtitles, or to store subtitles together with metadata? As an example, in my current setup, subtitles are auto-downloaded into a separate folder, and then there's a script running on the storage system that searches for and copies all SRTs from this area every few hours. However, the SRT grabber I currently use is rubbish compared to the quality of Media Browser's, so it would be terrific if Media Browser's own subtitle grabber could be used to grab to a custom area. -Florux

Emby for Kodi 2.3.55 doesn't fail over to external address although it has the information in "data.txt". @@Angelblue05 I'll pm you kodi log and data.txt when access is tried from the external network. This still doesn't fix the problem in the other thread, but is bug (or a new feature :-) ) never the less. Andy777

    Allow for empty port field

    I have a reverse proxy and am using that to make Emby available remotely at https://sub.domain.XYZ/NotEmby I recently tried to experiment with with Emby on Kodi on my phone, but could not get it to connect remotely at all. I eventually discovered the following workaround that made it work. If I set the server address to "https://sub.domain.XYZ"and the port to "/NotEmby" it connected and worked perfectly. What didn't work was any combination of either the full URL with either http or https and port 80, 443, 0, or 00000. I'm assuming what's throwing this off is my nginx config to make /NotEmby work, but I don't know a better way to do it. rewrite /NotEmby/(.*) /$1 break; Including a port doesn't seem necessary when using a URL and port 80 or 443, so why force it to be set during the configuration?
  11. More than a feature request this is a suggestion. On the web app, in episode information you can see like a "carrousel" with a slide bar of other episodes from the same season. It is shown like this: My suggestion is to change it to be shown like recently added on the home page, with arrow buttons on each side like this: I find it prettier.

    Series pooling on different drives

    Hello. I've been trying to get this to work and I had to create an account and get help. I've searched all 3 or 4 threads around this topic and I couldn't get it to work. Everything is organized nicely in the Emby Web interface but not on the Kodi add-on. I tried "Perform local database reset" and then "Perform manual sync" but my TV shows spread across different drives are still showing as more than one. "Automatically merge series that are spread across multiple folders" is already checked in Emby Server as well. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

    Artist name MISSING in Kodi

    Hi I seem to have a problem artist in Kodi the name of the artists says "Missing" However it looks fine in the Emby web GUI. Artist is called "112" they are on TheaudioDB site here. I've tried refreshing their metadata in the Emby server and also refreshing them in Kodi via the Emby options context menu. But still their name / title is missing.

    Plugin fails to sync with server

    I've been trying to set up Emby for Kodi on a few devices and it doesn't seem to work. These errors appear in Kodi on my Windows PC and my Android phone. I am running Kodi 17.3 on both of those. Any ideas on what's going on?

    Transcode to lower resolution

    Hi, Scenario: I'm new to emby and experiencing some issues with the Kodi addon and transcoding. At home, i have a 4k tv and use the Samsung SmartTV app. But when i'm traveling, i want to use the Kodi Addon on a RPi3. The resolution in the system settings in Kodi is set to 1080p. In the Emby addon, i specified a bitrate of 9.2k. The problem: If i play a 4k video, it gets transcoded to 9.2k but the resolution stays at 4k --> video disturbed. Please find the log of the transcoding session attached. Question: Can i somehow force Emby to transcode to 1080p? Or even better: Is it possible to adapt the transcoding-resolution to the max resolution of the device? thanks in advance, Andy Log.txt

    [BUG] backslash network credentials.

    Hi, I've found a bug in the network credentials add wizard. If the username contains a \ because its authenticating against a domain. It doesn't work, I believe it's doing something with the \ I tried, good number of times reentering it. Reopened Kodi, still no luck. I fixed it but going in to the file manager. Adding a new Source, then when it asked for my SMB credentials I said to remember these credentials for this path. Used my domain\user and then I was able to use Kodi. I hope this can be fixed as I took a while for me to think of another way for Kodi to remember my credentials. Jonny Using Kodi 17.2 I would upload logs but using an Android TV box(Nvidea Shield), so not so easy to grab the logs off it. I'm guessing its converting the character to something else
  24. @Angelblue I am having problems with the lastest version of Kodi-Client: Setup: - Emby Server V 3.2.20.0 - Kodi V 17.3 - Krypton - latest Kodi-Client - Addon mode, direct stream music lib Problem: After a fresh install of Kodi and Kodi-Emby-Client I did a initial sync. Under "music"-> "albums" I dont see the tracks of the album. All Albums are empty. If I got to "music" -> "songs" I see all songs with correct metatdata. -> I did a "repair local database (force update all content). After that everthing was ok. I could go to "music" -> "albums" and I had all my tracks in the albums. -> After a restart and automatic sync the tracks within the albums have disappeared again.... very frustrating. -> It happens with 95% of the albums but not with all of them. The sources are all the same format, on the same server etc... no difference. Any Ideas? Here is my log-file: ***removed*** With older versions I never had this problem. Can you provide a link to an older version? Thank you
  25. When prepping to upgrade my Emby server I start by checking the Emby dashboard for active users. If all is silent I need to go into Server:Live TV to see if there are any HDHomeRun tuners that are active (I have six). If there are I need to dig a little deeper to determine if these are held by Emby or some other application. This typically involves leaving the manage server area and go to "Live TV:Recordings" to see if there are any active Emby recordings. After I have validated the server is not in use I can perform an update. It would be extremely convenient to see all Emby activity from the main dashboard. Thanks.
