Unable to unlock app on fire stick

I've been onto the chat with Amazon, I've deleted & reloaded the emby app on the firestick again, I'm still getting the "processing error". Sometimes it is after payment has been approved by amazon & sometimes earlier in the process when I click on your "verify & pay" button. Amazon say the issue is with your app & I am inclined to believe them. -
if i will update to latest beta i have to put the right version to get the latest beta when in enter emby_updater.sh --latest the only the latest stable will be find with emby_updater.sh --version it shows the beta version in the list with --latest it will find only the latest table but not beta

so now there's an Linux emby docker update im still a bit lost. sorry!! my whole container looks exactly like your github compose description (other uid of course..) does that mean I can just update emby now? or do I need to ssh something again? what do you mean with run the whole script? you mean docker compose? but it's already there everything good I'm only talking about an upgrade

Hello! I'm having trouble linking my channels dvr generated m3u playlist to emby. I can download the playlist fine by getting it from the address where it's located and i can watch and see the guide in channels dvr. One thing tho, altough I can download the playlist from channels dvr, it won<t play in vlc when I open it. When i go to put it as a live tv source in emby, as http://X.X.X.X:8089/devices/ANY/channels.m3u?format=ts i getan error occured while saing the tv provider, please make sure it"s available and try again. Any idea what my problem is? Perhaps it"s in channels dvr settings but i"m presently at a loss. Thanks

Thanks, I’m just using it to test for now. I did find a guide for doing reverse proxy once I get setup on unRaid that I’m going to attempt to follow and do but in the meantime I was getting concerned about just using the app as it was presented to me during setup. Thanks for the response.

It's not bad, just far from ideal. You're using the product as was intended. For the cyber security minded your server doesn't have the basic safeguards for allowing external access to an application on your network. The good thing is you're pretty close and the next steps would be to get a domain name whether paid or free DDNS and TLS certificates configured to check a couple more boxes. You can keep going until your media server is Ft. Knox or stop once you have the basics in place.

Following up with more testing. The movies tested were 4k high bit rate; Emby player was configured with a max bit rate setting of 10, 20, and 40 in various tests to force transcoding. Tests included Emby running on Android TV (nVidia Shield), Android (on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra), and Browser. Before the change: 5 out of 5 movies tested failed with "too many packets..." After the change: Those 5 movies no longer fail Interestingly, my son (remotely) texted me last night that the movie he was playing froze. I had restarted the Emby Server yesterday after noon to update a plugin, and apparently restarting the server clears the overrides in the Diagnostic Plugin. Yea, I didn't read that part that clearly says that at the top. I re-applied the override, and it then played the entire way through. I would like to find out a few things: What can be done on a more permanent basis? What effect does setting -max_muxing_queue_size 100000 have on the server? Am I the only customer experiencing this? Thanks...

Since I did update to Emby 4.8.6, I have following issue Adding people, actor to a movie in the metadata editor is not showing this actor yet. When saving, then go back in the metadata, the newly added actor is shown. I'm using the Web UI, to edit the metadata, in the console of my web browser, I see this error, I have a similar error if clicking on a studio or a tag in the metadata editor of this movie. If important, my emby server is running on a synology DSM 7.2.1

Hallo zusamen, auf meinem Server habe ich die richtige Uhrzeit. emby läuft bei mir im Docker (4.8.6.0) und die dort angezogte Zeit stimmt auch. Wenn ich auf Protokolle gehe stimmt dort die Zeit auch noch (sihe time1.jpg) Wenn ich da aber eine log-Datei runterlade stimmt die Zeit in dieser Datei nicht, da sind 2 Stunden Differenz drin (siehe time2.jpg) Ist das ein Fehler oder muss ich das irgendwo noch was einstellen ? VG PS: habe gerade ein update auf 4.8.7.0 gemacht und Logfile rolliert ist aber noch das gleiche

Hallo zusammen, normalerweise benenne ich meine Serien immer nach dem Schema Serie/Staffel 01/Serie - S01E01 - Titel.mkv Manchmal habe ich aber das Problem, dass einzelne Folgen in 2 Teilen ausgestrahlt wurden womit ich dann 2 Files für eine Folge habe. Wie muss man die benennen, damit emby das erkennt? Bei Serie/Staffel 01/Serie - S01E01a - Titel.mkv und Serie/Staffel 01/Serie - S01E01b - Titel.mkv Zeigt emby das als eine Folge an aber mit halben Inhalt (b ist nirgendwo auswählbar) Geht das vielleicht sowas wie Serie/Staffel 01/Serie - S01E01 Teil 1 - Titel.mkv und Serie/Staffel 01/Serie - S01E01 Teil 2 - Titel.mkv oder wie auch immer die Syntax dann aussehen muss ? Oder kann emby das gar nicht und ich muss solche Teile echt zu einem File mergen (was, das das echt häufiger vorkommt etwas wäre, das fehlt)? VG

Naja - ein Versuch war es wert. Der Ersteller scheint das letzte Mal am 16. Januar online gewesen zu sein. Schade - das nächste gute Plugin, dass Emby interessant gemacht hat, dahin.

Das ist korrektes XML für einen leeren Tag. Daran kanns nicht liegen. <bla></bla> <bla /> <bla/> Ist alles dasselbe. Aber das Leerzeichen am Ende im DeviceName ist unüblich. Sollte aber trotzdem egal sein. Also für XML unüblich, das PlugIn kenne ich nicht. Gruß Eddie

Hmm i tried adding something like "Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *" to the nginx configuration which make it score A+ again. But despite i would say this setting doesn't do much there are some clients, mostly Apple and/or slow internet connections which have problems, keeping buffering or not able to log in anymore... -
Buenas, Antes escuchaba música mp3 desde Chromecast con Google TV y, también las canciones temáticas de las series, pero desde las versión 4.8 no reproduce, la versión de emby instalada en android tv es la que está disponible actualmente 2.1.10g, he probado a desinstalar e instalar, pero sigue sin reproducir. He probado en dos TV distintas con distintos Chromecast con Google TV sin éxito. Version emby 4.8.7.0. En el móvil y tablet reproduce sin problemas. Saludos.

Switched to emby on shield but can't error can't download server apk

Hi thought I would give emby a go on my shield, but I follow emby online instructions using downloader apk to download server apk, but during install process it says "apk not downloaded" I tried also using browser to download file, and transferring file from mobile to xplorer apk to download. Get same error every time. Ive tried transferring server apk to my mounted USB shield storage as don't have root access. Any help please be much appreciated -
Bump, I upgraded to the beta version of emby and am still seeing problems. I am also using the WebClient for playback when it happens.

OK, I've done that. Now I can get past the unlock app, but when I try & pay it repeatedly says; "An error occurred while processing your purchase" This occurred initially after entering payment details , but now on clicking "verify & pay" -
