I've got season 2 of Outer Range I'm trying to auto organize. The show was downloaded as "O.R.s02e01........" I've got season 1 in my library already. Emby is trying to match the show to "The Orville" which I also have in my library. It isn't auto-organizing because I already have a season 2 in The Orville, which is fine, but there is no way to manually select Outer Range as the show I want to Smart Match to. Or maybe I'm missing something. I don't really like the new Auto organize interface, tbh...it doesn't feel as intuitive or as easy to use... What am I missing? Am I simply doing it wrong? How can I manually change which show I want to match it to like it used to be able to? There used to be a folder icon to click on which would open a dialog box to manually select which show in my library to smart match it to...what happened to that dialog box?

When I edit the image of the artist folder in Emby server, it shows the correct image which is the cover from the alphabetically first album subfolder: But in Emby server, everything is displayed correctly, anyway. The problem occurs with all UPnP/DLNA clients trying to access the Emby library. There are wrong images in the DLNA feed - not the ones which Emby server is showing.

yes, I just tried. It can play on the new VLC & MX Player just downloaded from googleplay store, and can also play on potplayer in win10. I take a screenshot in VLC of this video, so it could be h264? I'd like to, but those video cannot play by emby are NSFW. Is it ok to upload the clip here? No, I haven't changed anything, and all the options of decoders (should) remain default. In fact, after reading your message, I just switched transcoding option to "Yes"(default) from "advanced(actually, I only clicked all the options in preferred hardware decoders)", the error still remain. Concerning about stream transcoding, at least the gpu is somehow working during other video playing, and most of their bitrate are above my setting max bitrate - 31mbps. pasted an example media info below, video like this are ok to play by emby. For better testing, I tried again the test you mentioned before. This time, after restart the server, I played 001.mp4 (which is ok to play) for about 30s. I take a screenshot in dashboard during transcoding(?): After waiting, I tried to play 0000-0240.mp4 (which is not ok to play) twice at 14:07. logfile uploaded. @ebr, I just wanted to say thank you. I haven't been using Emby but decided to give it a try again and noticed that the Live TV Mode feature was fixed. I don't know when that was deployed, but regardless, I just wanted to say thank you. I had to go back to using Live Channels because my family was getting frustrated with using Emby. But I'm sure they'll be much happier with the app working like a TV app that they're comfortable using. Thank you so very much to you and your team!

I ran TMM prior to the "test", there was no more TMM process while I did that. So as Frostbyte has no problem with the excat same DSM version, and this behaviour seems new, I'd put my money on 4.8.6.0

This has annoyed me for the longest time as well. Movies abide by the date added field but TV series do not. I've had old movies in the past appear in the Latest Movies section if I've bulk moved some around my library locations (oddly never seems to do it if I only move 1 movie at a time). I simply edit the added date in the metadata and it instantly removes itself. Editing that date for a TV series does nothing. Ideally it would behave the same then come back to the Latest TV Series section again if a new episode gets added (in the case of a continuing show)

The feature in Jellyfin appears to be ""Auto Crop". thats the perfect fit/solution. Just I prefer emby, reason why I bought it.

You mean in the user settings? Got that all set and still getting these issues when it needs to transcode.

Hi I've noticed that a lot of my actors (Nicolas Cage for example) have an image assigned to their profile but do not have a corresponding Nicolas Cage-tmdb-XXXX folder containing the image in the people folder in the metadata folder. I'm guessing this is stored in the database somewhere, why aren't they all in people? I notice that if I edit image and choose a new image, or even the same image again then a folder in people is created. I want ALL my actor images located in the people folder so I can easily take this folder and put it on another Emby installation. Is there a way to refresh ONLY people and nothing else, for example I have changed a lot of my movie posters from the default fetched one that was grabbed when I added the movie. I remember there used to be a task for People which is no longer there.

Yes. I updated to 4.8.6 and then went back to the Peter and the Wolf title with both users and saw the same response. However, I haven't tried clearing and re-setting anything.

Hi, thanks for following up. I understand this is your anecdotal evidence, but this isn't the reason. Emby Connect is not required. We are aware that in some rare circumstances this error message is displayed erroneously when the true problem is just a normal connection failure. We will look into chasing those cases down so that we can have the app display a better message. My guess for your case - Emby Connect connected with a different server url then you were trying to use manually, and so that's why it worked. Does the address you were trying manually match what is displayed on your Emby Server dashboard?

The book itself doesn't have a stored watch state, just live tv series don't either. the state is always determined by that of the episodes. however i do see some issues with audiobooks compared to tv series, so I'm looking into those. Thanks.

Can there be a feature for the ROKU or any device really to be able to REMOVE the SONGS row and just show the albums for the artist? Also show in the ARTIST view; the albums in GRID format not ROW?

After recording a Live TV show, I convert the show using the custom profile using the following settings Container: "mkv" Video codec: "hevc,h264" Audio codec "aac" Quality: "Original quality" the resulting file is missing the subtitles. However, when using the "TV" profile, the resulting file preserves the closed caption subtitles. I think the Custom profile should preserve the closed caption subtitles.
