@Lukeinstalled new server version 4.8.4.0 and seen the collections grouping, 2 things: 1st, now if there's another media different than Movies and TVShows, the screen presents splited in 2 lines, and made the Movies and TVshows difficult to handle (too much scroll on big collections): Why TV Shows are not in a different row ? Would have more sense, or even better, not force to be all in one line just because there's another type of media in the collection. 2nd Other media added to collection, like books or comics are ignored and not presented in the collection.

Hello, I had a question regarding OTA Tv and the Emby server. I currently own a Tablo Gen4 tuner that is connected to the local network through WiFi. Would it be possible to use the Emby Server for live TV playback and recording live TV shows through Emby.

Hi, I'm experiencing long wait times whenever I want to play anything from my library after some idle time. This is reflected in the logs; first request to the `/Audio/` endpoint can take up to 20 seconds to be processed. The latency goes down to just a couple milliseconds on subsequent requests, even when attempting to play different items from various libraries. Example log entry: 2024-04-19 19:03:39.424 Info Server: http/1.1 Response 206 to host75. Time: 18756ms. GET http://emby_remote_ip/emby/Audio/106819/universal?UserId=.... This naturally led me to believe that HDD spin-up time is responsible for the bulk of the processing. I tried various other methods of accessing files on the drive when it was idling, the latency was nowhere near the mentioned 20s. I tried profiling the main server process using the `prof` utility, but I believe it spawns other processes for processing requests which I was unable to trace. Are there any other methods of profiling or anything that would help me narrow down the issue? My configuration: Emby 4.8.1.0 proxied via Nginx (the issue persist even without the middleman) RaspberryPi 5 8GB 2x Seagatte Ironwolf 4TB running in RAID1 via `mdadm` connected by USB adapters Head of `embyserver.txt`: Thanks!

Depends on platform as there are no issues on Windows. And another user saw the new dependency installed. So platform package is the issue as your platform choked and need to wait on devs or package builder to fix.

As an FYI I've been testing this today and it looks like with the option disabled when I added media (10 episodes) instead of getting a notification as each item was being added it sent all 10 at the same time for each individual episode when it was done, and with it enabled (added 24 episodes) I received one notification which said 24 items were added to the series

Nevermind, performed server reboot and device reboot and it's working fine now. Thanks (problem was affecting only ACC multichannel audio tracks)

In my case Synology is saying that I can't roll back (Synology72x86_64) I'm currently faaaaar away from home, so I can't get a hold of a backup for a week Should have waited. Dumb of me to do a quick update know how Emby has bad builds every now and then... Hopefully we get a quick fix sooner than later. Edit: Wrote it while help was on the way... Great, will do that!

uninstalling/reinstalling was super simple for me. just make sure the backup and restore plugin is configured just in case. uninstall 4.8.4 and install 4.8.3 -- here it is for DSM 7.2+ https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.8.3.0/emby-server-synology72_4.8.3.0_x86_64.spk if things don't fire up as usual after installing 4.8.3, your backup should sort it out but I didn't even need to do that

Uninstal 4.8.4.0 first.

Can only guess the build server hung or is having issues as other Linux platforms have issues with the update (libOpenCL).

I had the same problems on synology with 4.8.4 and had to uninstall and reinstall 4.8.3. After reinstalling, everything worked perfectly and didn't even have to restore emby settings from backup. Super easy
