So I'm having a bit of a problem here. some systems and games are not being detected by gamebrowser. I have NES and SNES setup and working correctly. the folder structure for all of my games is like this \\server\games\system name\game name\game name.zip I have all of my games in zip files to save space and my front end takes care of the extraction prior to launch. this adds a bit of load time when launching a title, but I'm trying to save space. Gamebrowser does great on detecting zip files on certain systems like NES and SNES, but other systems it ignores zip files completely. I end up with an empty folder when browsing to them within emby. The only way I have been able to work around this is to select NES as the console type for every system I have... at least that way it'll detect the contents of the folder. I can't seem to make sense of this. Why are zip files ignored for certain consoles??? Is there a list of acceptable formats for each individual console? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a Telstra TV (Roku 2), in Australia these are running firmware 8.0.3. I've currently got this installed: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Roku It works fine (1080p no worries), but I'd like to update to the new version. In Australia our Telstra TV branded devices don't have access to the full app store so we can't "add the channel" for the latest version. Is there any chance you can release a ZIP we can sideload like you did with the old version? Thanks

I see on: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/releases What is this new change to small "Mono" release .zips? How does this work compared to before? Where are the full release .zips? Before, there where the full system folder in those .zip that i could just unzip and replace the system folder on my sever to change versions easy....but these new mono versions are far to small to do that. EDIT: I noticed the Pinned post has a different link that gives the full versions...though I still don't know what "mono" versions are though. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases

New category "Different Files" with allowed download
spiritwarrior posted a topic in Feature Requests
HI, first of all I want to say thanks! I just buyed Emby Premium recently because I think is great and very powerfull. I have created Media servery Emby for my company where we share videotutorials, movies, wallpapers, music and more. It will be nice to see in the future, an option to create a folder for utilities, that means software we use or maybe a manual pdf, or even a .zip or .rar. Also another feature nice to see is on folder customization option to allow download. (not by user) by folder. So this way I can allow only some folder to download and other don't. Regards, Spirit -
I have a lot zipped manga and photos. It would be nice if i pointed the server to the folder with my manga and it would let me read it without having to unzip the files even better if it would scrape data from a source such as http://www.mangaupdates.com . Also when i open an image all i get is a small photo and clicking it again brings me to metadata of the photo i see no way to fully view the image, attached is a screenshot of a how a photo is shown, a nicer photo viewing experience would be nice like a slide show of all the photos in a folder/zip file.

Not sure if people are aware, but it is possible to get a YouTube channel on their Roku - I've only just discovered it myself. There is a side-loadable ZIP file available here that allows you to load an "un-official" YouTube channel to your Roku. As it is side-loadable, it can also be added to the Now TV box, but it will overwrite any other side-loaded app already installed, such as the MB3 Roku app. I have it installed onto my daughter's Roku 2XS and she uses it to watch "MineCraft" videos. She has watched a lot of these videos and hasn't complained once about any problems, so it is fairly stable. More information can be found here.
