Luke 36818
We're pleased to announce we have our own Asustor Package now available for testing. Download See the Emby website download page for instructions: https://emby.media/download Important Info This is different from the Emby app in Asustor App Central, which is currently produced by Asustor themselves. We plan to eventually contact them and replace that with this. This version is far superior because it does not use mono and instead uses the new Microsoft .NET Core runtime, which is smaller, faster, and runs with a lighter footprint. You can follow our .NET Core testing here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/50012-emby-server-for-net-core/ Not all plugins are compatible yet and your patience is appreciated. Thanks ! I assume this will be a newly installed app instead of upgrade to the current asustor one? does that mean we have to uninstall previous version before manually doing an install of this one? and lastly is there any quick way to move over all metadata/watched history from the previous app without using emby premiere? Luke 36818
Correct but right now this is just for testing so I would recommend leaving them side by side.
alucryd 212
@@Dariusz As Luke said you're better off having both side by side atm, it is possible because Asustor still names its package mediabrowser, while ours is named emby-server. Ultimately it will be possible to automatically import your data over upon installation, for that I'll need to check where the current Asustor package stores it. Please note that you should turn off the other emby app before installing this one though, or else I'm assuming there will be port conflicts and the new app won't work. Couldn't verify that though because their app won't start at all on the model I've got here, not sure why yet. Dariusz 15
so I have been running this for a few days now and so far so good for me.. however I do see one thing that used to happen on the previous app and happens on your version as well.. every once in a while the app becomes unaccessible (basically i get a message that this site can not be reached) and I have to take the app offline and then turn it back on from asustor gui.. I do not have an exact way to replicate this.. just happens once in a while.. figured I would let you guys know..

We added support for image processing, which now means that Emby for ReadyNas is feature complete ! Please try it out and report your feedback. Gimli 0
Found some errors in the packed emby-server_3.2.30.16_x86-64.apk: 1) Link system/CORE_RL_Wand_.so point to non existent file ../lib/libMagickWand-6.Q16.so. 2) Missing system/dashboard-ui/bower_components/document-register-element/build/document-register-element.js. Emby hangs with black screen when document-register-element.js is missing. alucryd 212
FYI, the missing symlink was removed in .17, it was a leftover from when only imagemagick was working. In .16 skiasharp started working.

Dariusz 15
Ok I have a new issue... when i was on emby 3.2.30.10 and update to 3.2.30.16 everything seemed fine.. my database was there and I was happy.. I started looking into it more and when I went to 2nd page of my library there was no images being loaded.. in settings it still shows as 3.2.30.10 and if i go into logs it is empty and if i go into my database i just get a spinning circle.. so I just updated to the newest 3.2.30.19 and I get the same issue.. my emby app is showing 3.2.30.10 in the gui, my database in settings can not be reloaded and no logs are visible.. should i just load up the latest code fresh and setting up my database and do any new updates from there on and see how it goes? or anything else you would like me to check before hand? Luke 36818
Yes might as well try fresh, this is all just testing so anything caused by previous versions we're not really going to investigate. thanks.
Dariusz 15
Yes might as well try fresh, this is all just testing so anything caused by previous versions we're not really going to investigate. thanks. I just deleted the whole app and did a fresh install of 3.2.30.19.. it came up with the same issue and my database was already there, corrupt same as before and in the settings it shows up as 3.2.30.10.. usually removing the whole app and reinstalling fresh should have been a clean install.. seems deleting the app never removed previous info from the disk.. Luke 36818
Yes due to a quirk with Asustor we are forced to put data in a place that can't be cleaned up. I would just delete it manually.
Gimli 0
Hi, what copy from git? Got at copy of "Emby/MediaBrowser.WebDashboard/dashboard-ui/bower_components/document-register-element/build/document-register-element.js" from git and installed in "system/dashboard-ui/bower_components/document-register-element/build/". Then Emby runs the wizard.
Luke 36818
You shouldn't need that with the latest version of the package in the first post.
