fbartels 9
1) Is the ProSieben channel visible as channel? Yes, in general the channel shows up in Emby and can also be played. Only epg data is missing. With the debug version I now see the following (when running an epg refresh): 2016-03-02 07:29:32.6759 Info App: [TVHclient] GetProgramsAsync, ask TVH for events of channel '771785197'. 2016-03-02 07:29:32.6772 Info App: [TVHclient] GetEventsResponseHandler.handleResponse: received answer from TVH server HTSMessage: <dump> error : Channel does not exist seq : 17 </dump> Unfortunately I do not see any thing in the tvheadend logs (also when enabling debug from the webinterface and also checking syslog). regarding 2) then i'll keep the transcoding settings at their default. johnodon 18
Will do. Last question which was overlooked... I read earlier in the thread that the path to icon files needs to be HTTP://. Tolotos 61
In the plugin version you use the picon support is added. Please find my settings attached. I use tvheadend 4.0.8. It translates the picon://xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.png entries to imagecache/Y as you can see in your post. If you get an image in your browser using this URL (you will be asked for a valid tvh user/passwd): http://<tvh-server>:<tvh-port>/imagecache/1 You should see the images in Emby. Maybe it takes some hours until Emby reload the images. Do you see the images if you open the info dialog in the tvheaden EPG view? -- Tolotos
johnodon 18
I am using regular icons (not picons) since I am OTA: Kodi + TVH sees these fine but not Emby + TVH. John Edited March 2, 2016 by johnodon

Tolotos 61
@@johnodon Ok, this means tvheadend supply the images and the plugin calculate the correct path. Above in this thread is a post from a user who changed some channel images and Emby don't update. I think the solution was to delete the contend of the Emby image cache folder. ...\MediaBrowser-Server\cache\images\resized-images Please do the following: 1) Stop Emby 2) Move the resized-images folder to a save place 3) Start Emby 4) Start Refresh Guide wait some hours and check the channel images. Please be patient as the delete images are all images Emby downloaded from the internet so reloading take some time depending on your internet access. -- Tolotos EDIT: You should find lines like [TVHclient] HTSConnectionHandler.GetChannelImage() ... in your log file if Emby asks the plugin for the images. Antropy 3
Hi Tolotos, sorry for the delay. I still have this issue that one channel is empty in the epg and tvheadend is logging that channel is missing. My Bugreport and a similar forum entry at tvheadend site is still new. For a test with a Playback Bug of recordings in Kodi i builded a new tvheadend vm with debian. There wasn´t this epg Bug. Config was not copied at build from scratch. At this Moment i´m thinking about switching permanent to the debian VM.

Tolotos 61
Do you use the latest beta (1.0.5900.29260) of the plugin? Only this version can handle this kind of icons. The older versions needs a HTTP-setup (loading the icons from a webserver) for the icons in tvheadend.

gstuartj 39
You don't have transcoding turned on in TVHeadend, do you? There's also a transcoding setting for recordings in Emby under Live TV settings, but that should just affect recordings, AFAIK. gstuartj 39
Never mind, I may have put my foot in my mouth. It looks like the admin interface isn't always indicating that the stream is being transcoded, but when I grep my processes I do see a corresponding ffmpeg transcode for the stream. You may be right. KRA 39
I did not know that the experimental subtitle switch had such features, now I've actually been able to playback live-tv without transcoding in MS Edge browser. However I've had some issues and problems also. Will post an update after more testing.
