  1. Hey all. So I've been having this issue for quite a while now and it's happening over multiple apps. The server doesn't remember watched episodes. This happens on the web, Roku and Emby for Kodi. I've researched this and tried multiple fixes I've found in the forums to no avail. Their are 2 users accessing the account. The NFO is set to my name in the metadata settings and the NFO is checked under the services tab for Series, Seasons and Episodes. I will go through and mark episodes as watched (I've done this on every platform to see if one would work and none did), then after watching an episode and going back to the main screen random episodes will come back as unwatched, sometimes the entire season shows back up. Here's the logs from 07/06, any and all help is appreciated! https://paste2.org/GU8x1M2Z

Bug: Incorrect episode plays in web client

I'm using Google Chrome (auto-updated) on Windows 7 Ultimate (auto-updated) to use the Emby Web Client on my HTPC setup. If I open the TV Shows main screen, and click on a series "play" button, it will play the latest unwatched episode, as expected. On other screens, however (like the Emby Home screen, under "Latest Media", but also on the "Latest" screen under TV Shows), clicking the play button will always start Season 1, Episode 1, instead of the first unwatched episode. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of the "Latest" moniker. Note: behavior is the same in different browsers, on two separate PCs... please fix.
  3. Hi I've just conformed my entire library of specials for Top Gear and Doctor Who, and doing so entailed giving them special-episode-numbers, like S00E84, and putting them in a folder named "Season 0". Now, though, my specials-folders contains a lot of specials, and they all have their bogus episode number (e.g. S0 E84) prepended to their title, which makes it really irritating to look through in the clients. That number doesn't really tell me anything, just the order, and they're already shown in the right order. They're especially irritating, because I've had to change episode numbers for Doctor Who specials (after retrieving information and locking them), to place them correctly in the story arc (for Doctor Who I've enabled "Display specials within seasons they aired in"), because the TVDB special-information doesn't always follow the story arc, but sometimes just the airdates, and some of it is even dead wrong, and so, the numbers are reduced to mere clutter. TL;DR I'd like to be able to tick off a display setting for a season- or series-folder, which would toggle season and episode-numbers in the titles of their content-items (not the folders themselves, obviously, just the episodes). It COULD just be for the Specials-folders, if a general season/series-folder implementation is too huge a deal. Sincerely, Ultroman
  4. Server Version 3.0.5588.1 I have selected the Display Setting to "Display missing episodes within seasons" I added an episode that was previously flagged as missing. Now both the missing episode and the added episode are shown. I waited for a day and a half in case a scheduled task (e.g., library scan) needed to update. However, the missing episode flag remains. I also "Refreshed" the season a couple of times. Still no joy. Thanks
  5. I couldn't find the thread about this, but I don't seem to just go to the next episode when playing a TV show. I did a thread that it was the Chocolate theme that prevented this, but I just tried it within the Xenon theme and I'm having the same problem. IIRC, I was able to continue to the next episode in some other theme which I don't think is available anymore. Is there anyway to just go to the next episode automatically, the way Netflix and Hulu do? This is only in WMC; oddly enough if using saying Playlists in the web browser, they immediately just go to the next one. *On a psuedo related/unrelated topic - how do I make the audio for a show the default? I downloaded a show that's both in Russian and English; I've managed to set it correctly everywhere except in the web browser. Even when I switch it to the English track, the Russian just plays, with the English version playing on top of it. Anyway of correcting that?
  6. Version 3.0.5557.0 Just noticed, MB3 is reading genre tag from mp4 tv episode a folder history (nf) is created in ibn\genre... presumably a better behaviour would not be to read genres from episodes...as 'genre' doesnt pertain to episodes in the mb3 world... the episode genre information is orphaned after the ibn\genre\history (nf) folder generation..never to be used/seen again....so its not getting in the way...still cleanliness is next to godliness..
  7. I'm hoping you can help me resolve this issue. I am running the latest dev version of the server. MBS has downloaded metadata for all my episodes except one, and when I try to select the file in the web client, I get a constant spinning circle that never goes away https://www.dropbox.com/s/mn12s0fb8qbpmvo/Screenshot%202015-01-27%2021.52.02.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/nqumdizsinyi36v/Screenshot%202015-01-28%2012.39.13.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/fbkegb3q89f80a7/Screenshot%202015-01-27%2021.56.49.png?dl=0 1st screenshot is what I get when I try to access the file, 2nd screenshot is what I get if I leave that page and try to re-enter it (tried accessing it several times), and 3rd screenshot is what I get if I try to access the season folder (after accessing the episode. If I access the season first, it loads fine). I I close my browser and reload the web client, then it goes back to screenshot 1 again The video file plays fine in the web client Server Log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5pg6pzbh3ark3ux/server-63558041419.txt?dl=0
  8. Version 3.0.5410.32765 for as long as i can remember, I use a script to name (and rename) episodes filenames identical to TVDB. an example would be S01E01 - Old episode name.mp4 S01E01 - New Episode Name.mp4 Ive recently noticed that existing episodes whos filenames change have started to be identified as new content. Perhaps its related to the setting. 'Date Added Behaviour For New Content' for me it makes sense that it is 'the date scanned into library'... but should existing content (an episode for example), which was already scanned in and has just had its file name changed, be marked 'new'..? movies are not marked new when their name changes...
  9. Not sure at what release this happened - but, I have chapters for all my TV shows, and when entering a TV season MBC selects the first unplayed episode and shows "Play", "Cast" and "Chapter" buttons - but when browsing to other episodes, none of them will show a chapter button (chapters do exist, as they appear in the Web UI). (MBC build 187 and Chocolate) I'll check some other themes when I'm back home this evening.
  10. I thought notifications for playback of TV episodes were supposed to have been altered to include show title. I'm still just getting episode title. Did that change never get implemented?
  11. Server: 3.0.5203.42049 MBC: 3.0.148.0 3-31.1 I added a new episode of a show (episode S01E21 of Mom) via metabrowser (which does sorting, naming and metadata fetching for me) but I also have metadata switched on in MBS as well as "Save artwork and metadata within media folders" - although I don't think this is the cause of the issue here. After the episode was placed in the season folder and metadata fetched, I initiated an MBS "Scan Media Library" (just to make sure MBC could see it when I sat down to watch some TV). In MBC the episode showed up on the EHS: When entering into the EHS item, the current episode (21) and the previous two unwatched episodes appear: This is fine so far - but if I drill down into TV, find the show, and enter into the season - the new episode is missing: I've since run the "Scan Media Library" task twice and the episode still didn't show up and also it didn't appear on the server either. But, some time later it has appeared - this was quite some time after the scan had completed (many minutes, and about 90 minutes since I I watched the episode via MBC EHS). A similar thing happened with the two How I Met Your Mother episodes today - I could see them from the EHS but not by drilling down into the season.
