There is also a codec intro path that allows you to add a Feature Presentation type short video just prior to playing the feature. I have 2 videos from a large selection of 720P trailers all in different sub directories 'Trailers' for many media. I would suggest you go no larger then 720P. Then I have mixed newer unreleased trailers and some fun ads in the Custom Intros path directory. And I have one codec intro for h264.mp4 in the Codec Intro Path. Be aware that all trailers with this plugin do not show the correct name of the trailer in the player's lower left. The only way around this, at the moment, is to start the trailer name with a dash and do not include any other parathentical, dashes or tildes in the name. This trailer name works: - A Long Way From Home trailer 2013.mp4 If you don't start the filename with a dash, the player will just show a title: 'trailer 2013'

You have to install the beta version over your current install found via your platform download page. So if I played a download content, it will never report to Trakt until I will play from the server?

When you are playing downloaded content that is normal. If you play content from the server, then it will report to trakt right away.

The final outcome that has worked so far is renaming the folder ' Kids Movies ' to ' Kid's Movies ' (with the apostrophe) and that seemed to convince emby that I didn't have a giant 'Future Kid Takara' folder. My folder structures are reasonably simple, and have been working pretty well since I moved over from Win 7 Media Center and Mediabrowser a couple of weeks ago. I have ~96TB of media that was working great with Mediabrowser, so was VERY happy to not have to change the formatting - other than that curious apostrophe! Thanks for all the advice in this thread!

Hi all. I add my opinion to this thread, cause it could be a good option. I suggest to add a tag in the name to select the order of appearence in the version sélection - and priority. It could (or not) be managed by device types. Another feature could be th denial of some versions outside the LAN : for instance 4k versions of movies are a way too high in bitrate to be supported by my internet connection. Inside the LAN, all is fine. in example I got this movie : The Martian (Seul sur Mars - in French) I got these versions : Seul sur Mars - (2015) - [tmdbid=286217] - extended 4k HDR 8M vp9.mkv / (9.3GB) Seul sur Mars - (2015) - [tmdbid=286217] - extended 4k hevc.mkv / (40 GB) Seul sur Mars - (2015) - [tmdbid=286217] - extended 4k vp9.mkv / (30GB) Seul sur Mars - (2015) - [tmdbid=286217] - extended 30M.mkv / (32 GB) Seul sur Mars - (2015) - [tmdbid=286217] - extended vp9 web.mkv / (2.6GB) Seul sur Mars - (2015) - [tmdbid=286217] - h264 light.mkv / (3.3GB) Inside the LAN, the version priority (if the device support 4k) could be the "extended 4k hevc". Outside the LAN, i could be "extended vp9 web". It could be a marker in the file name such "[NW-LAN-10]" to have this version restricted inside the LAN, and priority 10 (lower the number, higher the priority) another marker could be [NW-10] to just add priority 10 to this version. another one : [NW-WAN-20] : this version have priority 20 in the WAN but no priority in the LAN Or something like that Any thoughts ?

Apologies everyone, for the false positive and for my delayed response. We were on the road again so I wasn't able to check this again until today. The issue is resolved after updating the correct Emby server. I'm running two, so when the problem popped up my first thought was to check for updates. I updated my internal one and then continued to check my external one to see if the problem was fixed After updating my external one today to 4.8.11 everything is working as expected. Thank you, for everyones prompt replies and assistance, and for a great product!

Hello, I'm quite new to Emby and I'm searching for a function I had with Plex. I would like to show one or more trailers of unwatched movies in my database. I have no trailers offline, so they need to be fetched from an online source. Currently I was not able to achieve this. There are always trailers from movies that I don't have in my database. Also are the trailers not matching the selected default language. I have an Emby-Premiere-License.

Hi, yes that would be easier to copy although more difficult for the server to keep changes in sync with the backup.

Hi, under live TV it contains content based on your recording folder settings. The library is based on your folders in library setup. Does that help?
