This is something we are constantly working on. When requests to the server fail, then we catch that and try to reconnect with all available addresses to figure out if you're on the LAN or WAN. The latter part of that is very fast. It's the first part that accounts for 95% of the time, which is that when requests fail. sometimes you have to wait for a full 20 second time out.

OK, we don't have any code looking at the modified timestamp of a file. The best way to troubleshoot is to try and reproduce with a new file. If you can't do that, that's OK, but we can only make guesses about what might have happened in the past. Maybe a defect in an older server version, problem in the dotnet runtime, problem caused by plugin, etc.

This has never happened again because all of my files have identical modified and created dates. This series only had earlier modified dates than created. While that in itself is odd, I believe Emby will use that earlier date anytime this should happen again. I thought the team here would appreciate knowing this, so I posted. All of the answers I received serve more to display all that is wrong with this forum more than the software itself. Delete this thread at your leisure, this issue will be so rare for me that I care less it is happening. ( And it IS happening).

Those descriptions are normally unique for each. That's how I've seen it with others anyway.

HI, check both the conversions and also the downloads section in the server setup. I would start there before just deleting the folders, because they may end up getting recreated if you still have jobs open.

Please try adding a new episode and see what the date added value is after that. Please note that some plugins intentionally mess with this value in order to try and influence how things are displayed.

This issue is still present and I can add that this is also reproducible on desktop browser (Chrome 124.0.6367.156 - Windows 11 x64). I took a short clip of it and how to reproduce the bug, in the following link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XOak2cO3s4vC3rwaoKJs_KBbkGKqyQA-/ As it could be seen through the video, if I click on the Play button, it plays correctly, but if I click on the tile, it randomly selects a song to play and this is the issue. Please fix it for the next version. By the way, Emby server: 4.8.6.0 Emby for Samsung TV: 1.7.0 and 1.7.9, both faulty Emby for Windows desktop: Emby Web 4.8.6.0 Browser: Chrome 124.0.6367.156 OS: Windows 11 x64 Server log is attached. It comes included with the server, so you may have uninstalled it and forgotten that you did that.
