Honestly can not say exactly as Emby technically uses the wrong folder level for identification in this nested scenario. As you have done different test as one image show specials as your show folder and another shows 001 - 399 as show folder. Only guess may be Emby cached data \cache\tvdb\81797 But in the end Emby can/will have quirks when deviating from required structure.

Hi at all helping here. My point in separating the subfolders was the sheer amount in files, that resides in it, when I stash everthing into one folder. Number of episodes times three (because of additional thumbs-picture and nfo per episode) and some few extra files resulting already in over 3300 files af of today ( potentially growing as the show's not ended yet), that I have to scroll through if something is not right or if I have to do something on file level. Since I knew of the merging option I thought it would be an elegant way of getting better ogranized folder. @Happy2Play But I still don't understand something: In your setup the meta data collection works reproducable, in mine it doesn't reproducable. Do we have differences in our setup / config? Is it the merging option? Regardless of the answer it looks I'll have to live with an immense folder for this show xD Kind regards Roke

When navigating to "Songs", I'm trying to filter my playlist by selecting my "Favorites" and choosing a few "Genre" options. I close out filter options and select play or shuffle. The application then hangs and does nothing. I can't go back to re-select songs. In some cases, I have to restart my server. I tried looking for Android logs and the 'files' folder was empty. And I've attached the server logs. I'm using Emby for Android 3.3.95 and server version 4.8.7.0. All this started happening after upgrading to 4.8.x.x. Dev will probably have to comment as you have database issues. Following up, I was finally able to get audio again while watching live TV. Seems the issue was emby was not selecting h.264 for encoding and decoding, but vp9. So I had restart my server and magically emby started selecting h.264 for encoding and decoding. And now I have audio again. Don't know why deselecting vp9 has no effect, and I had to reset the whole server. For it to work, but now it did

I attach the photo of Emby on Android TV (Nvidia Shield Pro) to ask for a clear improvement in management on the home screen. First of all, the recommended films don't rotate, they've been like this for two months and I remember pointing it out some time ago but I was told that they were random... but in fact they don't undergo updates. Why would you ever want to make a channel that is not that channel? After mapping, the icons didn't update, so I had to delete all of the Scripps icons and let refresh fix it. The station names didn't update, either.

Potentially yes as ffmpeg is using the cpu. You could enable throttling to throttle the process instead of ffmpeg processing the entire content in one go.
