If we're talking Live TV on the Roku, I don't believe it will ever direct play. It will always at least remux.

TV/Movies not being found by Emby
visproduction replied to williamdesousa's topic in General/Windows
Search for show data requires TV naming details. jaycedk mentioned this link above. Search is coded to handle some things, but you cannot leave parts of a file name out. SA, your examples do not match the recommended file names. This works for me: L:\TV Series2\Star Trek Enterprise (2001-2005)\Star Trek Enterprise Season 1\Star Trek Enterprise S01E03.mp4 -

Hi. The first one is showing them as an Emby library with all the features of a library. The second presentation is meant to be quick access to the individual recordings. They should be sorted by record date descending.

Thanks for your help on this, I'll continue working on it.

I've chosen an Emby guide source & spent a long time manually mapping channels to a poorly supported stream source. Tedious, but it sure looks purdy when it's done.
-
Thanks all. Good to know and think I got it all figured out between Roku and Emby settings!

OK do you also use epg.best? If not where do you get your guide data?
-
That's where that info would come from. If it's not included in the guide source, Emby doesn't know to display it.

It's much easier to navigate NAT and port forwarding when the terms used are clear, like source and destination.

What's your guide source?

Thanks, I've done that but no results. I've been using Emby for a long time, I've experienced these options on but for the past few months I get notjhing in the guide, not event the color grid

Access Settings in the guide, upper left corner, next to date (3 bars). Check boxes for desired features.

That's better. External is router Wan IP and ports. Server IP and port are LAN. I don't think you need to change anything for now. Perhaps reboot everything then try the connections again. The problems could be network and/or service quality and stability. Scratch that. Not ready to make that assumption and perhaps leave external IP and start port empty and only use the end port. Again, the wording is a bit confusing. Do reboot everything though.

Adding in a screenshot of the "Add" page. I've circled how I navigated to this particular page. I'll give it a shot and see what happens. I can't find the Port Forward option no matter where I look. I found Port Filtering and am not sure if it accomplishes the job. canyouseeme reports that it cannot see the service (Reason: Connection timed out). I was able to see the server from my workplace but only rarely and no media was streamable. Okay, I'll move the device and connect it via Ethernet. It's a NUC so moving it around isn't a hassle.

Does anyone have the guide details ("New", HD, Live) I don't have any of this in my guys and I'm not sure why.

Hi! Trying to use the script, but I'm getting the following error. Can someone help? Thanks Getting Library Items. This can take a while. Fair comment. I should have been clearer. I was looking for something more back end that would allow me to hide media browsing in the user interface, only showing playlists there. I definitely see how to do it in the front-end interface when media is browsable. I was hoping for a playlist builder of some sort in the admin UI or offline that could help with that. If not, the front-end works great I just won't be able to hide that for normal use. Chris

What's the ETA on the next release with that logging?

Right. Maybe if the OP can share the page where that info is entered, "Add" button. It might be a little clearer there.

Xbox Series X no HEVC 4K HDR/Dolby Vision Direct Play
MBSki replied to TwIXx's topic in Emby Theater
I'm not seeing any change. 4k content just causes the app to crash on my Xbox Series X. -
Agreed - it's very odd terminology on the router GUI. If 'External Start' and 'External End' Port means 'source' - then you can maybe add 1 as the Start and 65535 as the End. (in other words 'any'), or maybe leave those empty/blank. Destination port is the key one (as that is what emby is listerning on) - these need to be 8096 or 8920, but the source port is generally any port.

Yes, a server error. I have right now the latest stable but i try with docker other versions to check if the problem exists. I test with a friend in other debian 12 - nvidia, proxmox - nvidia, same movie and the same error appears I post here too the same problem. Thanks
-
Unfortunately it still doesn't work.

The next recording went into the correct folder in the file system and library. Not sure what caused it to go wrong and hope that does not happen again, but for now it is working.
