Heard Kodi on fire has some problems there (not emby related, sorry) Yes I did use Dolby vision and it works well also I should mention no buffering at all. Of course key here is to have an up to date router helps at least wifi 6 does help which is what I use. I do not have wifi 6e. But with wifi 6 smooth. i should also mention there have been several updates to the stick since it was introduced and has helped. Bryan
katonag 3
Is it possible to download a copy from the emby server for offline watch? We have several devices running Kodi with emby next gen. Some of these are mobile devices, like a tablet. I am looking for an easy way to store a copy of a selected movie or episode for offline usage. Thumbs and backdrops have same aspect ratio but Posters have different aspect ratio that's why using Posters as thumbs looks very ugly. Have a look at first movie Gulmohar. Does Gulmohar have a backdrop (or thumb)? Check it on Emby's WebUI.

quickmic 1358
OK, I'll check that. Only if both not exist, Kodi/the plugin should use poster/primary as fallback. Edited February 16 by quickmic

olerocker 7
Hi there and thanks for everyone's hard work on this addon. One question, should i turn off "update library at startup" from the kodi system menu ? Does the addon need this ?

olerocker 7
Thanks. I currently use native mode for the addon, you mention though that addon mode is suggested. Is there an actual benefit in using addon mode vs native mode apart from the trancoding ? Would it make the addon function more reliably in this mode ? quickmic 1358
Beside extra configuration for native mode, addon mode much better tested than native mode. Edited April 19 by quickmic
