MB3 is pretty close to killer app already.  Add the flexibility of MPC-HC and what's left?

Is this just in private beta right now or something?  If not, where can I download to test out?

In the windows world not much but there's a linux server, optimizing efficiency to run either the server or clients on low power devices. Recruiting for raspberry pi, apple tv, google tv, amazon's new cinnamon streaming box. And then I think that if done right, live tv can be more than just a throw in.

we are not using either. it is our own direct show-based player built with the same technology that mpc is.

I was actually wondering where to bring this up, but you guys may want to edit the MB3 site.  Right on the main page in the box describing MBT, it mentions running on vlc.  I guess more of an issue once MBT comes out, but I can foresee all the questions involving the same "It's not VLC" response.

Hi,

Is it possible to join the testing team? I have some spare hardware where i want to install Windows Server Essentials with Media Browser Server. I would be nice if i can test also a client to play my favorite movies! I wanted to do this for some time now but time was a bit of trouble. The coming months i have plenty of time to test...

Maybe it will be ready for beta testing by the end of the year, WMC is just so boring compared to MBT

I'm just tired of TMT5 constantly popping up and asking me for my valid license key over and over and over and over.

MBT would solve that.

MBT will not provide BluRay menu support though, right?

Correct. At least right now. No idea if that will be something looked at later or not.
