Some icons have alts and have ‘ 2’ at the end. Choose the version that you prefer and change the name. 😇

New size for the icons - 97px wide - so 5 can fit in a row on a portrait movie poster.

I’ve only exported the 5 aspects that actually work for me but as soon as I find the naming needed for the rest to work, I’ll export the rest. 😎

I'm not getting any aspects just video and audio, is there something I need to enable?

These smaller size are much better. I might mess with transparency today as I would prefer not to be blocking the artwork

Are you not getting a specific aspect displaying (could you let us know what Emby’s video info says the video aspect is please) or are you not getting any aspects displayed?

A couple of aspects require you to use the custom location and have the overly style set to ‘custom’ as well but some of the basic ones (like 16:9 & 4:3) work if they’re in CoverArt’s cache folder.

I'm not getting any aspect indicators at all, I only get video and audio. They are all in the same custom location

Hmmm. 16:9 definitely works for me. 🥺

Could you try it without the blue ray treatment? I don’t know why that would be messing with it - but it is something that I don’t use. 🤔

It looks like @GrimReaperuses ‘plain’, and I use ‘border’.

And are you using the latest Emby & CoverArt versions?

Ok, I am now getting aspect ratios, I was just using a single default profile but I have now setup Movies and TV as separate profiles in the plugin

I’m glad you figured it out as that was the extent of my tech suggestions.😋

do the aspects appear on the movie & tv profiles now?

I was foolish and used the mixed media library type so can’t test out the various scenarios myself. Although all I’ve done is made some coloured boxes - the plug-in is still responsible for the placement of them.

Extra options for to choose. Just rename the ones that you want. 👍🏻

Also added hdr icons - but they are NOT supported at this time. I’m hoping that a future update would include this option - I’m just trying to will it into existence. 😇

Hello Craggles,

first of all thank you very much for your work. These look great.
I downloaded the overlays-Craig 97px.zip and unzipped it into the folder /var/lib/emby/plugins/CoverArt/Custom-Overlays.
The Subtitles icons are still in the Subtitles 97px subfolder.

The new icons are now displayed
However, I only get the 720p video icons displayed.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help.

If you want them enabled, take them out of subfolder and place together with other icons.

Thanks for the tip with the subtitles.

The resolution of "American Murder" is 480p (720x322).
"Babylon" 480p (720x300)
At least that's what the codec information of VLC Media Player tells me.

SD resolutions (anything <720p) ain't supported at this time. Hopefully some future update might introduce that.

Yeah, the thinking was to call out your HD content - back when that was relatively rare.  So anything without a res icon would be SD.  Didn't seem necessary to explicitly show that.

Understandable. But times have changed. Currently, only lack of CoverArt badge indicates SD reses (and it's both an eye poke and breaks consistency). I'd say it's reasonable to expect that users opting for CA overlays would like to show them, and don't want not having an overlay to have any meaning. Therefore hopefully you'll consider adding those sdtypes (actually only three are needed: 576p, 480p and SD for anything below 480p, as Emby lists them in MediaInfo) when the time comes to give some thought to future plugin improvements. And most important one: please put those Res badges first, it's very odd and distracting seeing them stuck between video and audio codecs, can't help but think about it every single time, even though I know they're currently set up like that.

Sorry - unfortunately, the only resolutions that are available to us are 720, 1080 & 4K. The rest that don’t work are just my hopeful expectation for a future update (inc the hdr badges). 😆

The subtitles need to be in the the same custom folder that the other badges are in (or in the resources folder inside CoverArt’s cache). I separated them out to be tidy, but I didn’t let everyone know that. Once they’re in the correct folder, they should all work - as long as the 3 letter abbreviation is correct, so let me know if they don’t work. I don’t have any videos with subtitles so that’s the limit of my knowledge! 😋

I’m also having issues with some aspect ratio badges but I’m pretty sure the ones I included all work for me.

These icons are pretty amazing and should become the default for emby. Thank you very much!

And yeah, if we could manipulate the ordering of icons and maybe get audio-languages in a future release, this would be lovely. Those are probably the two biggest wishes for this plugin from me.

Hi.  The system doesn't currently have that information so the plug-in doesn't either.
