Okay, so the reason you didn't see any trailers before was due to the parental controls.  The problem with that setting is that most trailers have no rating so they are excluded - leaving you with almost nothing to choose from.

Was there an ffmpeg log from trailer playback?

Do the trailers play from the Trailers library?

Some of the trailers are very high bitrate and may not play well in all instances unfortunately.

trailers were playing from the library directly. i have seen today that a couple of them aren't working. Where would I find the log file for ffmpeg? i know the file paths are listed in the server on the main screen at the bottom left but there isn't one for that . i tried to google where to find it but that wasn't helping much.

I dont have parental controls set on any of my profiles?

Tried setting it to the highest rating on parental controls, didnt make a difference... Possible because my server uses Australian ratings, while some movies/trailers use American ratings.

Having the same problem since the upgrade to Emby Server 4.0. Was working great prior to the server upgrade.

Hello Everyone,

i just wanted to say that the update that my Trailers aren't playing before the movie at all either (just plays straight to my intro) trailers not even playing on the server... i made no adjustments before the update and everything was working fine now I don't even get to see a trailer button on my Roku. Also the 3D overlay is not showing on the 3d movies not from the server or the Roku.

Thank You for your help.

You indicated when I asked about it that you had the "Smart Parental Control" option in Cinema Mode enabled.  That will prevent any trailer with a rating higher than the movie being played from playing and, when we don't know the rating of the trailer (often) that will exclude it as well.

Hello Just wanted to provide an update.... now on the Roku side when you try to play some trailers straight from the archive it shows popup display asking me to pick which trailer i would like to play as if it has more then 1 version of content but. But trailers still won't play before the movie or the intro not from the Roku or server(web app) don't know if this new info might help with resolving the issue but i just wanted to share.

Thanks

...and I just turned off parental control.

Sorry if I misinterpreted that.

here is the only ffmpeg file from today. i tried multiple times playing movies and trailers didnt even try to start. it just went straight to the movie. I also played the bohemian rhapsody trailer by itself and that played.

Okay, that log is just from movie playback.

Can you confirm that you have the feature enabled in the Roku app?

Also, can you confirm that your Premiere key is validating properly?

Your lack of CoverArt treatments I think is because you don't appear to have the CoverArt plug-in installed anymore (no reference to it in your log).

Hi.  That log is very short and does not contain you entering and saving a Premiere key.

CoverArt is also still not installed.

Can you also please be sure to enable debug logging.

Thanks.

Just updated to Emby Server 4.0.1.0 for Windows 7 Pro 64bit, cinema mode still does not play trailers, It goes straight to custom intro video. I think it is safe to say, with mulitple people reporting the identical problem, that something in Emby Server 4 has broken either the Cinema Mode plugin or the Trailers plugin.

Log files are attached.

They are having the same problem I was reporting back in December in another thread https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/66326-no-trailers-in-cinema-mode/ . You guys got it fixed for one person but broke it for other people. I never got a reply on my last post in that thread, I knew you guys were working hard on the new release so didn't bother posting another thread about it since you guys were working with me also in that thread.

Just chiming in to report that I'm having the same problem with Cinema mode not working. I have disabled 'smart parental control' and 'only show trailers for unwatched movies.' Also, there's no content showing in 'new and upcoming on bluray' and 'new and upcoming on netflix.' Only the 'new and upcoming in cinemas' and 'movie trailer archive' sections are showing any content.

As a test, try browsing into the trailer channel first and pulling up each folder. This will get trailers loaded into the Emby database.

@@mgworek i will merge your thread into this one. Thanks.

how do i get cinema mode to work again? I didn't change anything to my setup, it just stopped working one day (I have emby premiere along with the plugin). As for my settings I have everything ticked except for : "Include trailers from my library"

Also every time i access the server from my shield, I have to log in, why is this? can i change that (the emby sever is on my windows 10 pc on the same network).

Since the newest update (which i installed today) backdrops no longer work on the homescreen on my shield, was this intentional by the Devs?

Any help would be appreciated thanks
