Just close the app while in fullscreen and it will remember.

I have a caveat on my machine though. I'll run TeamViewer, and because the video goes through my AV receiver, the screen aspect ratio will reset. Consequently, ET will sometimes snap down to windowed. That's why I was wondering if I would be able to add some scripting to a file to have it always open full screen.

Not at the moment, although it would be a good command line option to add.

I would suggest re-evaluating this when Emby Server 3.6 is released. Thanks.

Just a small update. I know you have told me to wait for 3.6 but I got curious. I spun up a new media center box bare bones with only updated windows and drivers. Completed a fresh install of Emby Classic and I got the exact same issue. The only thing I have not done is spin up a new server however, that would be extremely difficult and time consuming. I am still waiting for 3.6.

Can you provide an EMC and server log based on that? If you are on the beta it will be easier to help you now. Thanks.

Oh, I did not install any beta however. If you would like me to do that on this new testing rig, I can. In the meantime, here are the logs from both the existing Server and newly installed Classic. I have compressed them for easier uploading and downloading, I hope you don't mind.

Problem seems to be happening on the load of this movie:

I wonder if this is the image-related problem.  If so, I think the beta server should solve it.

Oh, not sure I really want to install the beta in my live environment. Might be best to wait for official release per Luke. I have no problem with that as I am using Emby Theater just fine for now. I just prefer the Classic version more.

Interesting, I just learned from another user that they were told not to store their Emby cache and/or images on a pooled storage device. Is there any new truth to this? My server where my Emby Server resides is apart of a pooled drive provided by Drive Bender. It has always worked up until the start of this thread. Could that be related?

I doubt it.

I would investigate the name of the image file(s) related to the item above.  Any "interesting" characters?  Could also be the name of an actor within that movie...

Nothing odd in the main movie folder, just the normal "backdrop, folder, banner, disc, etc" however the people directory is HUGE. Instead of going through that, I just renamed the metadata directory so Emby could not find it rendering all people images null. Same Emby Classic issue still exists. I still use MediaCenterMaster to create metadata and download images. There wasn't any Emby server update that is conflicting with that is there? Is there a way I can downgrade a few versions of Emby Server to test. I accidentally had the Emby server option to auto update on for a while so I do not know if it was updating in the backgournd without my knowing. Maybe I should attempt to install an older version like 3.4 to test??? If so, where can I obtain that older install? Thanks for your time!

Just bring up that movie in the web app and look at the actors.  Are there any with foreign characters in their name?

Well, I have been using Emby Theater for a while now and it is nice HOWEVER I really miss my EMC! I Completely uninstalled my Emby Server and wiped all settings. I attempted to downgrade the server however that turned out to be more difficult than I expected. Lost interest and just reinstalled the newest release version and restored from emby backup. Confirmed all is back the way I left it HOWEVER, it seems that my EMC is working again!!!! I SO HAPPY! I am not sure what changed but it is fixed. I swear I already tried the uninstall/reinstall of the server but maybe I didn't. Regardless, all is well and I am happy, this issue can be considered resolved :)

Well dang, my Emby Server has started to "crash" again like before however now it is also doing it with Emby Theater. It is clearly some sort of image issue cause right before it "crashes" it fails to display images. A quick force quit of the Emby Server and restart of it and the issue goes away until the next time. The next time can sometimes be in a minute or days. It is all so weird. I have used this software since Media Browser 2.x and never had any issues but it seems to be getting worse :(  I feel like the more platforms that are supported and more features that are integrated is causing the core program to suffer and that makes me sad. I am still eager for Server 3.6.

Well, I have the new server and it is working great however I still sometimes have the same issue where my Emby server still goes "offline" and it does seem to be related to retrieving images. Its almost like there is some sort of permission issue. My primary HTPC running Emby Theater and Classic has read access to all images and metadata. The odd thing is my buddy has the same issue with his system. We both have similar setups including Emby server running on Server 2016 using Drive Bender as a HDD pooling software. His primary end user device is Nvidia Shield. Although this issue seems to be happening less and less for me, it still happens at times and you can understand it is very frustrating. I always have to RDP to my Server 2016 box and manually restart the Emby Server program.

@bling26 we have a couple confirmations of this being improved in the beta channel and we'll have a new stable any day now with those changes. Thanks.

I really liked Emby Classic however Windows has made it way too difficult to keep Media Center alive. I have moved on and abandoned Emby Classic. I now use Emby Theater which works great however I still would prefer the look and feel of Classic. Since I have moved on, this thread can be closed. Thanks everyone for the great help and input!
