not retaining it's window size/position after refresh rate changing is a long never fixed nor looked into issue

what is comprehensible cause most are using this on a single screen setup and so its very hard to notice if the window suddently gets eg some pixel bigger than your screen or something like that

Yes. I'm on ET 3.0.1 and had the issue, but just downgrading the electron component fixes it.

Yea sorry, I'd like to keep the updated version for reasons unrelated to this. We can re-evaluate when the next electron update comes along. Thanks.

Same happening to me. Only started today on 3.0.1.

Running fullscreen UI, start a video and the video runs with a 3 pixel gap at the right and bottom edges. Minimizing and maximizing the screen will fix it until starting playback of the next video.

It's only happening on my NUC connected to my TV. Running on my desktop connected to a monitor and I don't get the issue.

I tried playback of 1080, 720 and even 480 anamorphic videos (my TV is 1080) and all video sizes end up displaying with the 3 pixel gap at the right and bottom edges.

I have this this same problem with ET 3.01. Windows 10 is fully updated to latest patches.
It happens after refresh rate switching. Do I need to manually downgrade Electron?

You could try 1.8.7

Deleting the current x64/electron folder and replacing it with a different electron folder loses all my ET settings and preferences. How do I change electron without losing settings? Thanks.

Going backwards in electron versions i am guessing you will probably lose some things of that nature.

I usually just unzip it to the folder, and overwrite the old files. No need to delete, anything. And all my settings, remain.

you know that you have to replace this every time ET updates, glad there aren't many updates anyway

really? you're breaking knowingly something, making a feature completely useless and then say you will see if you maybe could it get fixed sometime in the future

i begin to loose faith

It's an easy and hopefully temporary workaround.

Ok, thanks, I’ll give that a go. (I was deleting the original folder so I could easily restore it if there was a problem.)

That doesn't work. I still lose all my settings.

Am I not supposed to copy over everything? Are there user preferences in the electron folders and files that I shouldn't replace?

C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Theater\system\x64\electron

C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Theater\system\x64\electron\resources
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Theater\system\x64\electron\locales

Because the downloaded older Electron replaces all files in those folders.

Thanks.

Going backwards it's possible there's a change in election data storage that the older version can't deal with and that's why you lose settings.

In any case, I've downgraded to Electron 1.8.7, which fixes the white-line problem of the current Electron. The UI is less smooth after to reverting. Hopefully this gets fixed sooner than later.

MPV wasn't updated, so it's curious why there would be a change. Possibly a small glitch. Try a clean install.

Well, now I have a complety new Windows Box on my TV, instead of AMD based it's Intel based.

Clean Windows 10 Home, new install of ET 3.0.1.

I'm not using rate changing, so no borders.

But there are still these little audio drops.

Watched a TV episode, 40 mins, AC3 5.1 passthrough, I've noticed it twice.

Watched a movie later, AC3 5.1 passthrough, nearly 2 hours, I noticed none.

So it comes and goes, but there were never any before 3.0.1.

Ciao, Alfred

You could try using the last mpv release. If you still have the same issue, you may want to check your cables and/or receiver. If using the last release fixes it, you could try the latest mpv build.

Does any one still have this banding issue? My setup still has the issue and I have been waiting for stable release to update with a fix.

Yeah, it's still here.

I've disabled frame rate switching but with my new tv box, if it is switched on (it's only sleeping) before the TV is on, it uses an other screen mode (even with same resolution) then when the TV is ready.

So there is a screen mode switching which leads to the the known problem on the right/down side, when playing a video.

I've also noticed when starting ET, not sure if before or after login, you can see the desktop background for a short moment on the top of the screen.

It seems, the window is "jumping around" on some events.

Ciao, Alfred
