obieq 0 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Everything used to work until today. I am using Emby .NET Core version. As i can see on Emby webpage (8096) there's all my music about 1200 tracks. Problems started occuring when I added folder with Audiobook then in my Kodi Music tab was only 15 songs (audiobook track). I removed audiobook and my library doesnt return even after Refresh Emby playlist/Video nodes Perform manual sync Repair local database (force update all content) Perform local database reset & all above Now theres only 53 song files... I have checked Kodi logs and theres huge file with syncing all files Some info on beggining 09:44:39.552 T:18446744072359166720 NOTICE: ADDONS: Using repository repository.xbmc.org09:44:39.552 T:18446744072359166720 NOTICE: ADDONS: Using repository repository.beta.emby.kodi09:44:40.245 T:18446744072359166720 WARNING: JSONRPC: Could not parse type "Setting.Details.SettingList"09:44:44.625 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.service -> Delaying emby startup by: 0 sec...09:44:44.640 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.service_entry -> ======== START EMBY ========09:44:44.640 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.service_entry -> Python Version: 2.7.12 (default, Aug 22 2017, 08:42:34)[GCC 4.9.x 20150123 (prerelease)]09:44:44.651 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.service_entry -> Platform: Linux/Android09:44:44.654 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.service_entry -> KODI Version: 17.4 Git:20170822-7fc6da009:44:44.658 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.service_entry -> EMBY Version: 2.3.5209:44:44.686 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.service_entry -> Using plugin paths: True09:44:44.687 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.service_entry -> Log Level: 109:44:44.691 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.views -> Clearing nodes properties.09:44:44.701 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.kodimonitor -> Kodi monitor started09:44:44.716 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.connectionmanager -> Begin ConnectionManager constructor09:44:44.717 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.connectionmanager -> Begin connect09:44:44.718 T:18446744072032627072 NOTICE: EMBY.connectionmanager -> Begin getAvailableServers Ending of file 09:57:12.324 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.music -> UPDATE song itemid: b149be8cc24d9306276e1811ac9154ef - Title: ?? ????? ??? 09:57:12.357 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.music -> UPDATE song itemid: 14258040fa04a3cdccf4261180e7a410 - Title: ? ????? 09:57:12.374 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.music -> UPDATE song itemid: 5c08f955bc37d46296ecebae2e7f592d - Title: ? ?? ?????? ? ???? 09:57:12.398 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.objects.music -> UPDATE song itemid: b2cacf4e77813e38e9fd859db78a8a74 - Title: ???????? ???? 09:57:12.423 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.librarysync -> SyncDatabase (finished music in: 0:02:11) 09:57:12.424 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> number of rows updated: 24284 09:57:12.479 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> commit: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/Database/MyMusic60.db 09:57:12.480 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> closing: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/Database/MyMusic60.db - 2531422400 09:57:12.483 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> number of rows updated: 4482 09:57:12.580 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> commit: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/Database/emby.db 09:57:12.580 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> closing: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/Database/emby.db - 2118050944 09:57:12.588 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> opened: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/Database/emby.db - 2078687904 09:57:12.588 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> Verifying emby DB 09:57:12.594 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> number of rows updated: 1 09:57:12.604 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> commit: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/Database/emby.db 09:57:12.604 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.database -> closing: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/Database/emby.db - 2078687904 09:57:12.621 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.librarysync -> New sync time: client time -2 min: 2017-09-27T07:55:12Z 09:57:12.637 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.utils -> Toggling screensaver: {u'jsonrpc': u'2.0', u'id': 1, u'result': True} 09:57:12.639 T:18446744071580676992 NOTICE: EMBY.librarysync -> SyncDatabase (finished in: 0:12:16) True 09:57:12.753 T:18446744071702320896 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Starting scan .. 09:57:12.783 T:18446744071702320896 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Finished scan. redhalo 0 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 I've run into the same issue except I haven't added a second folder.
Luke 39645 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 And you're able to play just fine from the web app?
Angelblue05 4131 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Without the complete log, I can't tell what is wrong. Looks like your music is not detected correctly, with all the ?? in titles. I haven't tried core.net version with the add-on.
obieq 0 Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 Yes web app plays music and videos without any problems. Listing even 1300 tracks (kodi listed about only 1100 before problem occured). I will post full log tomorrow but I sometimes had the same issue on normal Emby version too before i switched it into .Net core
Angelblue05 4131 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) I am so sick of supporting music. I literally just fixed music for the x time or so I thought (except for theme music being added as songs). Edited September 27, 2017 by Angelblue05
obieq 0 Posted September 28, 2017 Author Posted September 28, 2017 Raspberry Pi3 Rasbian Emby.NetCore + Kodi Krypton Android or Samsung TV (this one is regarding android) Heres my logs I have tried to sync at 8:21AM Emby (i dont know what is 192.168.1.41 this is not in my LAN) but theres no data for this time. http://paste.ubuntu.com/25631706/ Kodi http://paste.ubuntu.com/25631703/
Angelblue05 4131 Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Why are your titles messed up like that? Do you have the same messed up titles showing in the webclient? Check the kodi log, do you see songs that are missing? How are you accessing music in Kodi? If you try by artist, does anything show up? What about by songs?
obieq 0 Posted September 28, 2017 Author Posted September 28, 2017 (edited) Those are mostly russian (cyryllic) and some chinse/japanse songs And I see in logs there's loop or something over the same songs I have excatlys 53 song in Kodi Music and 1429 on emby webpage I guess I see more artists and albums than songs available in Kodi Edited September 28, 2017 by obieq
mythman 5 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 (edited) Actually I have to chime in here because music for me too is broken. Only it is not. That is when I could not play any files I decided to refresh the db completely so I deleted MyMusic60.db and went to sync all the music songs. That took about an hour to do and the resulting db is now 18Mb 18M Sep 30 20:45 MyMusic60.db So it has obviously populated it with something but Kodi displays nothing. Can't be sure but this doesn't look right in the logs which might be screwing things up. 21:14:09.806 T:3291276272 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Finished scan. Angelblue05 4131 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 No, what you posted is not really an error, just a warning that the directory wasn't closed correctly by the addon. I do not have any issues and can't reproduce this. My music displays just fine. What do you see when accessing music? does it list menus such as artists, songs, albums, genres, etc? Something odd though is going on because if I do search. It will pull up artists names but not songs or albums associated with them. Selecting artists just brings up an empty list. So some data is reflected. Just not all of it.

Angelblue05 4131 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I really don't know at this point. I'll think about it and let you know if I think of something, sorry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mythman 5 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) Ok I think I am edging my way to a clue here. In Kodi it allows you to export the various DB's as xml files.. so I thought I would dump the music one. It is very interesting because there are hundreds if not 1000's of repeated rows. All around the same Artist/Album. It is too big to put here so I will [pastebin the first 400 lines.](https://pastebin.ca/3881360) So it occurs to me something in the DB is completely hosed and maybe a malformed title, exotic character or something else has caused some sort of iterative loop. Given that the Emby db itself is not affected I wonder if it is a limitation of the sqlite3 db format that kodi uses. Certainly if I knew more about how Emby fed the DB it would be a start because Kodi helpfully describe their schema in detail in [this page](http://kodi.wiki/view/Databases) Hope this helps fires someone more knowledgeable than me to be able to unpick this mess. EDIT: Just counted the repeating elements. there are 3395 of them. Ouch! Edited October 2, 2017 by mythman
obieq 0 Posted October 2, 2017 Author Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) Looks I have similliar issue. I have a lot of songs with chinse/japanse and cyrillics signs. When syncing It syncs some titles then repeat all over the same title again and again until 100%. http://paste.ubuntu.com/25631703/ CTRL+F look for "TONI STORARO" and it appears 29 times I added few files and now I have about 2200 files on my disk, 1643 files in emby and 968 songs in kodi on raspberry. mythman 5 Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 *sighs* Still not fixed and kodi has been updated to 17.5 and Emby add version 2.3.51. Went to the drastic measure of refreshing all the metadata on the server in the hopes it would sort out kodi's DB.. One odd thing though was that a new artist I added to the Music folder actually did appear on kodi complete with cover art. When that happend other arists and albums appearred but if you want to any artist other than the new one it would point back to one of the new artists albums. Very weird. Not sure what is at fault now. Emby or Kodi. All I know is it is is not working.
Angelblue05 4131 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 (edited) @@mythman @@obieq Do you mind providing your music database? I've been chasing this issue but it's difficult because I can't reproduce this. I have some Japanese songs and they show up just fine for me. Here's how you can do this: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/plugin.video.emby/wiki/Create-and-restore-from-backup That should give me the necessary information to see why content is not behaving for you guys, thank you.
