csadoian 34 Posted August 22, 2017 Share Posted August 22, 2017 Something has happened to my guide. All of a sudden there are several channels with missing guide data. The channels are there, but there is no guide data. I have attached server logs and a screen shot of part of my guide (as a test I had the guide only suck in 2 days worth of data, I normally have 8). The missing guide data occurs in many channels, not limited to just one tuner. I have both OTA and Cable HDHomerun tuners. The missing guide data appears to be random. I have refreshed the guide a couple of times, it didn't help. I deleted ALL my tuners (I have three) and my guide provider (Schedules Direct) and then re-added them. No change. I sent a ticket to them earlier, waiting on a reply. Im getting cached data and thats it. Had to plug my Tablo back in to record tonights stuff. It updates the guide each night at 2am, and when I went to the server a few minutes ago and checked the guide all the guide data is there, nothing is missing. So if it is a Schedules Direct problem, it is not affecting Next PVR. Of course, the NextPVR could be displaying cached listings, since it is set to suck in 7 days worth of guide data, as Emby is. My one hooked to my hdhomerun Prime had guide data for 7 days so I changed the amount of days to list to 10 and refreshed it. Past the 7 days theres tons of data missing which leads me to believe its Schedules Direct. Tonight I hooked up my 2 new hdhomerun connects to replace my Tablo and I got a little bit of data originally but missing a bunch of OTA channels, NBC of course being the one I need to record tonight. Ive tried changing to another service provider on schedules direct and mapping the channels but it still wont populate. The reason I dont believe its that though is the guide shouldnt rely on the hdhomerun to populate. If it does have something to do with the recent firmware update, it probably changed the way the tuners reply to certain commands issued by the Server. If the server sends a request to the tuner and expects a reply in a certain format, changing that format can cause all sorts of problems. After the tech fixed the signal problem, I put the original hdhomerun back into service, including pairing and re-signaling. I did update the hdhomerun firmware at the same time I was working on this. I also opened a case with schedules direct, and they replied that they had all of the information on their side.
