Hi,

I am having a couple of playback issues on Xbox One.

1. Remote users are having issues playing some movies. Trailers play fine, but as soon as the movie starts, is pauses and stutters.

2. Local user (me). Watching tv shows, I have the same issues as remote users with movies, the first episode will play fine, but after the following episode stutters.

I have attached the logs.

In one log I noticed the app is requesting a 64k bitrate which is extremely low. Try having them set their own video quality. You can use 1mbps as a starting point and then work your way up. Thanks.

I don't know why. The maximum server streaming bitrate was set to 1080p - 10Mb/s. I recently changed it down to 1080p - 5Mbps.

That's the maximum, but there is also an in-app setting.

Yes, I know. The apps are set the same.

FYI I'm having this as well.  You need additional logs @@Luke?

As some further troubleshooting... I followed some advice in another thread.

I backed up my configuration, deleted the server (as it is a portable installation), copied the latest stable build across, installed Server Configuration Backup and restored the backup I made.

For some reason it did not backup the library though, so I had to do a rescan... I've lost the customisation so made to the movie covers, and the custom metadata I put into the tv shows.

Haven't tried to play anything yet, though, as I have to wait for the library scan to complete.

Will report back.

Is the backup supposed to backup the library too? I would have thought so.

@@Luke Well... that didn't work either. It must be a bug with Theatre, or the server.

Thank you, I am going to try and completely re-setup the server from scratch... without restoring a backup.

I've been testing the latest stable version since last night, watching tv shows back to back... it appears to be working properly... no stuttering.

No stuttering here either, thanks @@Luke!

Guys are you talking about stable versions of the server or new version of the theater working, because I am still having a heck of a time getting playback to work for more then a couple minutes before crashing the Theater. :(

I updated the app but unfortunately it won't start.

Maybe I'll try rebooting the Xbox.

If not. Try doing a hard reset. Either unplug the power from the back of the console, or press and hold the power button until the console shuts down... wait a couple of minutes then plug power back in, turn on.
