Luke 39662 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 I'm not able to reproduce the issue. I would suggest trying again with the next release of Emby Server. thanks !
Barlog9511 17 Posted June 29, 2017 Author Posted June 29, 2017 I'm not able to reproduce the issue. I would suggest trying again with the next release of Emby Server. thanks ! Thanks for the response, I will try, and I give you feedback. When is new release planning?
Barlog9511 17 Posted July 10, 2017 Author Posted July 10, 2017 So I have some news after new update 3.2.24, this problem is still happening, but less often The same movies I will not be able to play on the browser I will not play even on Google Chromecast
mrvirtual 9 Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 @@JakeByr are you saying that you added hostame and ip address (loopback) into the hosts file and it started working? Mine is already there but I am having similar issues.
Barlog9511 17 Posted July 27, 2017 Author Posted July 27, 2017 So this problem is still happening after to update 3.2.26
Luke 39662 Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 Can you provide a sample video for testing? thanks !
Barlog9511 17 Posted July 31, 2017 Author Posted July 31, 2017 Hi for example, this movie (16 GB) https://goo.gl/at17Gq have a problem
Barlog9511 17 Posted July 31, 2017 Author Posted July 31, 2017 At exactly what point does a problem occur? At of start the movie
Luke 39662 Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 I'm able to play this in Chrome without any problems.
Barlog9511 17 Posted July 31, 2017 Author Posted July 31, 2017 this is weird ... I have this problem on different platforms and different versions of Chrome ... You have Emby server on the computer or on the NAS ?
Luke 39662 Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Are you doing this with subtitles enabled? I think it is getting hung up on the subtitle extraction taking a very long time.
Barlog9511 17 Posted July 31, 2017 Author Posted July 31, 2017 Yes I have subtitles enabled - Czech forced When I turn off subtitles, movie start at less than 5 sec
Luke 39662 Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 No, the extraction just takes a long time sometimes. What you can do to avoid extraction is consider using our subtitle downloading feature to obtain external subtitles. Then no extraction will be necessary.
Luke 39662 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 What we can also do is just have a setting to burn them in with transcoding, then we won't need to extract the subtitles. Burning them in might be painful on your server cpu but at least they will play.
Barlog9511 17 Posted August 13, 2017 Author Posted August 13, 2017 @@Luke This is so weird ... because this is no happens on Theater app or mobile app, why then in the browser or streaming app? so I don't have enough power on my server for subtitle extract? for transcoding, I have enough power for 720p 1MBs :/
Barlog9511 17 Posted August 13, 2017 Author Posted August 13, 2017 @@Luke pls try this, https://goo.gl/at17Gq , language EN, subtitle CZ subtitle works on Theater app but doesn't work on Web browser app, burn subtitle doesn't work too
Luke 39662 Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 I'm downloading that now. I expect the answer will be the same, that it's just taking too long to extract the internal subtitles on your system.
Luke 39662 Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Yea that one is working fine for me and so I suspect the issue for you is that it's just taking too long to extract. We will have to add a setting always burn them in with transcoding.
