What exactly is the issue?  Are the case and crew listed in the movie metadata?  Are you just seeing place holders in cast and crew?

Sorry about that....  I've started another tread about this, and I tough that I was in my new thread.... oups....

You could find all the detail in this post  http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/30021-people-images-not-downloading/

Basically only a few actors are populated in the "People" folder with only XML files no photos.  Only manual refresh of single "People" work.  I have posted a log in my other post.

You could reply in this tread and let die the other on as it may help more then me!!

Thank you

Well we need to know if you have a metadata issue before you can worry about the people issue.

Does your media show cast and crew without images for TV and Movies?

I can see all crew members with no photos. Everything is extracted from the nfo files. But for some unknown reason it seams that the photos won't download.

Same I can see all the crew members with all the photos.

When i make a fresh scan of people, Emby will populate the People folder with XML files only.

Emby server 3.0.5786.0

I'm having the exact same issue on my freebsd install since clearing out the ImagesByName folder; none of the actors have any images.  Doing a people refresh didn't help.  Refreshing all library metadata didn't help.  Library scans don't help.

In the People subdirectory there are only xml files.  If I do a refresh of an individual in the webgui, the jpg for that one person will download successfully.

People using windows appear to have no issues so maybe there is something going on with the non windows version of emby?

Logs look pretty much OK other than the odd "crash" when querying themoviedb.

Your error is do the person not existing or has been removed from TMDB so you got a (404) error.  https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1342059-gerald-b-Greenberg

Or his id has changed.  https://www.themoviedb.org/person/852-gerald-b-greenberg

Looks at the change logs looks like he was added to The Great White Hope.

Ok, cool.  I didn't think those errors were a serious concern.  Still doesn't explain why I'm not getting any images unless I do a manual refresh on each person.

I do still have my old ImagesByName folder so I will just move that back.  It wasn't using the "new" directory structure but it was at least pretty much complete.

Hi,

I may reply that I never had the old directory structure,  I'm running windows 10, so It's not a linux trouble...

I would like to know if this problem is consider to be a problem and it is in the to do list...   I understand that it mat not be a priority or there is some more important things to fix but I'm under the impression that this tread is not really consider a bug...???

I really don't want to sound rude or pushing someone,  i'm just asking....

Thank you

Zoula

I don't really use this but checked. It contains the odd person but by no means complete. I tried a People scan that took ages and.... no more people.

Forgot to add.

Windows 10

The people refresh does not add people. Chances are you're not actually having a problem, but we can tell more if you provide the server log from that refresh

OK then,

Here is a new log from my system.  Earlier in this thread I post older log from my system....

So to resume my bug,   I have only a few pictures of "People"  I can see all their name but no photos.  Like i said earlier I don't think it's IMDB site that is throttling because I can download lot of actor at the same time using "Tiny Media Manager" software.  I have some doubt about the NFO files and cross match issue.   All my NFO a generated with EMBY.

Like others I can update one by one, but this is not a practical solution....

Thank you

Zoula

Hi Luke,

If it doesn't add people, what does it do?

As I said in my previous post, I'm not really bothered by the actors pictures missing but if you think my log files will help sort it for others, I will gladly post them.

Beta 5843 seems to have fixed it for me on freebsd.  It's taking forever to download the people images but at least it's doing it now.
