no, the software goes on a PC and to be honest, unless your technically comfortable that I would recommend that you pass.

Ok if you can:

Download the Samsung Smart TV SDK version 4.1 (it is a previous version) This can be found from the samsungdforums.com website
Install the SDK (SDK Download for Windows 7), it requires Java as a prerequisite. Install the 32 bit version if there is the option, I cannot remember if this version has both 32 and 64..
Run the Samsung Eclipse program installed
In the Samsung setting menu along the top - Turn on "Samsung Smart TV Log Receiver"- You will need to allow the program through the firewall / temporarily disable it. Leave the program open
On the tv, get to the menu you enter in the ip address and enter in the local ip of the pc you just installed the software on,
Run the app on the tv, if it works, there will be a load of text in the watch console on the pc - Copy paste that code into these forums.

It sounds easier than it is! But if you can do this then I can pinpoint the error exactly

If it doesnt work, download my app from the below link (v0.523), extract it in the root of the apache web server, update widgetlist.xml to the IP of your machine, and then install the app from your web server, then enable the log receiver and see if it works..

I'm having this issue also, managed to get the logs. It looks like the few lines below are the relevant ones to me as they just repeat forever (I can provide the full logs if needed). I think the issue is related to the /mediabrowser/mediabrowser/ part of the URL.

Sorry but I'm going to admit defeat! I managed 1-3 but got stuck at 4 as there's no place I can see to turn on Samsung Smart TV Log Receiver.

It looks like cragjagged may have cracked it. Sorry I couldn't be any more helpful.

I could add the option for hiding the discart if you like...or try and reproduce the issue others are reporting (if you give me a quick synopsis)

@@im85288 - Could you look into the multiple episode files for me please, as I don't know how the server stores the details. Basically the app needs support for it. Aside from that I pushed some code to github over the last few days for manual username and password login, along with code that enables us to force delete the settings file if we need to for future updates. That could do with some testing please.

Just had a look at my code and I can see what is happening - (My error code message needs fixing for starters, Error1 is ****)

Ironically the app i think is functioning correctly. When it tried to load the URL's for the home page, it returns a http code that is not 200 (which is ok, go ahead) and as such, it is throwing you back to the user login page. Which, given that is the page you've loaded from, it looks like it hangs / gets stuck. I need to add an error message

Question is, why is the http not returning 200 when it works for the vast majority...

So, do you use any apps that connect to the server which do not run off the server (so are on a different pc, phone app..) Can you test by disabling the firewall on the server pc temporarily, running the app and seeing if it logs in. If it does, then the firewall is blocking the communication between the tv and the server. No, if the app can see the list of users it must be communicating with the server - doh
