KUNALHAZARD 9 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Trying to switch from Plex because its crappy Android ExoPlayer was giving me headaches. Now I'm dealing with some issues fine-tuning Emby and need some help: 1.How do I fix the UI when the series name is too long? The controls get tiny and annoying (pic attached). 2.How do I fetch the season title metadata like Plex does?
Solution Luke 38499 Posted August 25 Solution Posted August 25 @KUNALHAZARDhave you tried Emby for Android 3.4.20? Is your first issue resolved in that version?

Luke 38499 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Hi, we can look into supporting season titles from MovieDb/Tvdb. Thanks.
KUNALHAZARD 9 Posted August 26 Author Posted August 26 @LukeYes, it fixed the issue. Thank you! As for the season naming, I'm looking forward to the next beta. 1
KUNALHAZARD 9 Posted September 1 Author Posted September 1 @Luke Thanks for adding the season name metadata, but there is an issue with the TVDB plugin. When requesting the season name, it ignores the set language and downloads it in the original language. TMDb uses the correct language, but for some shows, TMDb lists the original air date as an absolute number and the season names are in an alternate order, which is not supported by Emby

Yes this has been mentioned in another topic as the api does not return language specific translations in the series query (looks like original language) and looks like it will require additional language seasons queries. Just like mentioned in the other topic how the web site looks if you are not logged in will not show English value your specific example. Looks like they require a lot of addtional work via their v4 api. Have not really done a lot of looking at TMDB yet but yes since there are episode_groups yet all that is provided is what is returned in the current default queries. 1
Luke 38499 Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Hi, yes please follow that other topic for updates. Thanks.
