Comment:

Node reset is recommended -> plugin config menu -> Sync -> Node reset. Restart Kodi

Still not all (edge) cases tested like iso files, bluray, native/addon mixed content etc.

Known issue:

Kodi favorites (content) are invalid. (fixed by next version).

fyi:

If you use Emby (server) beta version, don't use anything above beta 58. Everything higher is slow and could stall sync on large libraries!

How do you access the dynamic nodes? Is the node embedded in your skin or do you browse via plugins  -> "open"

Is there somewhere an audio file included in this folder you try to access?

The emby library for personal media is built in the following way:

 

Library "Pictures":

\media\pictures\2020\2020-01\pictures

Library "home video":

\media\homevideo\2020\videos

 

 

In Kodi I use the embuary skin and have own main-menu-entries in the main menu for each library

There are no synced nodes  definded which I could use in the way I need it. I need a folder view for pictures beginning in the main folder "pictures" so I can easily navigate i.e. to 2021/2021-03 to start a diashow there.

For home video a folder view would work, too. But using the "collections" is usable as well.

 

I acces both though the addon. videoaddon >>> embynext-gen >>> dynamic nodes >>> home video >>>> collections

 

Really strange is the cicumstance, emby shows the word "Musik" on the upper left. Maybe there is something wrong with the database and Kodi "thinks", the content is music instead of video respectively pictures?

 

 

How can I export a debug report on my nvidia shield? Do you have an idea? If not I will search for it.

Please setup a dedicated (stock) Kodi setup (on a PC) to confirm your observations. Currently I cannot reproduce the issue.

Hi, I’ve been wondering if there are any ways to automate the Live TV Sync option of this plugin?

Some of the channel names from the provider I use with my Emby Server change depending on what is going to be on those channels.

The channel names do not change in Kodi Live TV unless I manually perform a Live TV Sync from this addon’s settings.

Would it be possible to trigger an automatic sync, for example on start of Kodi?

9.1.3 crashes at about 30% initial library sync, normal movie collections were still not synced (maybe cause of asiatic signs, don't know) 8.2.15 syncs without any problem.

Yes possible, not sure if it would be stable.

Kodi's PVR addons has limited controlling (API) options.

I closed my TvHeadEnd and migrated my HdHomeRun to Emby server to make things simpler but now I don't have a plugin and I have to use EmbyApp.

Yes, but the main issue is. PVR plugins are written in C which means compiling for each and every platform.

Kodi has no proper API interface for (python) plugins.

Set recording timers is already possible in next-gen even it's very poor implemented..

Just upgraded... most everything looks ok.  I remember, that during initial sync on older version it asked to sync empty folders.  I don't like it when my kodi display empty. Ayway to bring that back in?  Kodi skin hides folders that are empty, cuz plugin doesn't syn it?

Maybe kodi setting I forgot... haven't touched it since Leia... looking forward to new Omega with DV support.

Also noticed, on Kodi 20.2 Nexus and Emby 9.2.0 vidoes played are not being marked as played.  Anyone else?  Maybe I miss a Kodi or Emby setting?

This was a long time ago and the plugin should not sync empty content. Same here, do you have a test case. Only scenario I could imagine is an empty TV-Show.

I’m running the same set up as you & yes it runs perfectly.

I guess I like going against the grain, but I'm running the latest Omega nightly builds and native mode with 4.8.0.64 beta server.  No problems here, but I'm only syncing movies and tv shows at the moment.
