libussa 3 Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 Hi! This is my trakt config: With this, I would have expected to only have the scrobbler active: POST https://api.trakt.tv/scrobble/start POST https://api.trakt.tv/scrobble/stop But when I mark something as watched in Emby, it sends a history event to trakt, and adds a play in my history: POST https://api.trakt.tv/sync/history Would there be way to disable this? It particularly bit me when I imported my watch history from plex and inserted thousands of watches in trakt 1
libussa 3 Posted October 19, 2023 Author Posted October 19, 2023 Something I noticed just now, but this is definitely a bug; when marking something as unwatched in Emby, I see in logs POST https://api.trakt.tv/sync/history/remove but, it adds a play in trakt... 1

Luke 38839 Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 What does Plex do? It kind of sounds like we never should have been doing that in the first place. 1
libussa 3 Posted October 19, 2023 Author Posted October 19, 2023 Plex has a custom integration with trakt through webhooks, so the config is done on trakt's side There are some things related to ratings, but the rest is only scrobbling indeed, nothing about marking an element as watched in Plex triggering a watch event in trakt 1
jasonmcroy 315 Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 I have always disliked this aspect of the Trakt app in Emby. I totally agree this could/should be configurable. I see the same behavior - marking as watched in Emby marks it watched in Trakt even with the boxes unchecked. I only want it to scrobble. In Plex, if you mark something watched manually it doesn't do anything in Trakt. It only scrobbles when watching a show or movie. I haven't used Jellyfin, but those options looks pretty cool. If I remember correctly the Trakt plugin for Kodi also has those similar settings.
Luke 38839 Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 So you just want an option to ignore manual watch state changes?
Luke 38839 Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 OK, an update to the trakt plugin is going up to add this option. Thanks. 1
jasonmcroy 315 Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 I just got the update today and tested. Seems to be working as intended. 1
