I'm Emby premiere user now for few months.

I too hope there will be option for Audio syncing settings in Emby, ASAP. I'm especially looking for such an option in Emby Theater.  If that would be possible using Keyboard shorcuts, that would be great.

Using external player (which can adjust audio sync) with Emby Theater is not an option - too much annoying bugs and problems.

My post was moved from other thread and I can't edit it's contents to make it look OK.

My post is not about fixing bug in Emby Theatre, but about feature to be able to adjust audio sync during playback when it is necessary.

There are a lot of cases when media audio sync is not OK, so there should be way to fix it manually - using keyboard shortcuts or through menu.

Hi, yes this is certainly possible for future updates. Thanks for the feedback.

You just need a configurable audio delay?

It would amazing, sometimes files aren’t synced perfectly, it’s probably the feature I miss most from plex. Being able to in the app advance or slow the audio.

I agree, being able to offset audio would be a great feature.

Curious if this feature was implemented. I am also very interested in something like this.

Yours is the first update I’ve seen to the initial post.

First post was in May 2022. Next ask was in August 2023. Then you and Luke 3 weeks later. Then hukt 1 month later. Now me 3 months later. So, not sure I follow you in the "initial" post thing.

Are you still interested in this feature?

I still think it would be helpful, I have changed hardware for the stereo and now have an adjustable delay so I CAN fix an issue but it would be great to do it in app rather than getting the other remote out and changing for a single video.

I would also like a feature like this. Sometimes Audio is not in sync and I literally have to change the file itself. This is really annoying If I‘m not home where I could change It…

I need this feat. I’ve a bunch of high quality media files with audio sync issues…and I don’t know how to fix them :(

Being able to delay the audio would be amazing for me.  My home theater receiver maxes out at a 200ms audio delay but my Sony OLED has more than 200ms of video delay (when not in game mode), so I can never get the audio and video in sync for all content.   This has got to be a problem for others with Sony OLED tvs.

For example, my standalone 4k bluray player has dual HDMI output so that one can go to the TV and the other to the home theater, to help with audio sync issues, but even on that, the Sony OLED introduces more than 200ms of video delay.  Sony's not an uncommon brand and they don't have boatloads of OLED models to choose from.  The benefit of this would be for quite a few people, by my estimate.

If this were implemented I'd finally have a home theatre which beats out the local movie theatres.

Interested in this feature also. Something similar to what VLC has where there is a tab for audio delay in ms.

That doesn't work on android tv (nvidia shield), does it?

If using mpv, it could. Is the Shield app still using mpv? This question is best answered by @ebr I haven't played around with that in a long time

No, it is using exoplayer.

Thank you for a great product. I am a paying monthly subscriber. I use an XGIMI projector which has Android built in, and when sending audio to my receiver using eARC, the audio gets delayed - probably in passthru processing, etc., etc. Running audio directly thru the XGIMI speakers results in good sync,  so no problem with Emby. I solve this in Kodi by setting 250ms audio difference, and apply to all. I wish I could do the same with Emby (delay video vs audio, or advance audio from video). Therefore I too wish for this feature. Thanks/Andy

Bump. Audio delay is built into many modern TVs, but with limitations and/or awkward UI to use. I am genuinely surprised this isn't already built-in to Emby, perhaps reachable through the same gear menu as zoom, playback speed, etc. Can this be implemented soon?

Just to make it clear. Adjusting audio sync is not a new feature, its a mandatory feature which had ti be implemented in the first place.

That more than 2y after being reminded that they did miss an essential function, is poor and pathetic in the least, bad support and shows lack of knowledge and/or focus on the job.

+1.

This is such a basic and very needed feature, and so many run of the mill players have it. I don't understand how this hasn't been a feature for al ong time now.

I need this feature. It's impossible to sync the audio with some devices when using external audio gear that can't be fed by the TV's audio output, especially when using a TV that doesn't support HDMI or have an audio passthrough.
