Hi, have you taken a look at the embedded tags within your audio files? That’s where this information comes from.
-
Hi, it’s not a bad idea, but currently no. Play count is assigned to media, so you’d have to get all of the episodes and add the play counts up.

Yes, it's my own Emby server installed as a docker on an unRAID server. I know the IP address and port, but I think my user name and password got hosed up. I have a link to the Emby server in my bookmarks so it takes me right to the login screen. I've tried logging in with the name of the Emby account for the server and also tried the email address that I signed up with, but I can't recall if I was using a password or a PIN to access it previously. I tried using a PIN and I think it accidentally updated my password with the PIN I used, but it didn't work. I have been trying to change the password so I clicked on the Forgot password link for the login and it sent a file with a link and temporary PIN to the binhex-emby folder on my server's cache drive. I tried to connect to the link it provided but my browser keeps timing out. I ran a network diagnostic and it said the device that I am trying to connect to isn't responding. I don't know if that's a web server or my unRAID server. I have Emby installed on several other Shields and a Roku and they all can connect to the Emby server with no problem so I'm at a complete loss as to why I can't login.

Does any, or all, Android clients not auto-exit after time?
Gilgamesh_48 replied to Gilgamesh_48's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Thank you very much but, I foolishly asked the question in such a way where a 'yes" or a "no" response becomes ambiguous. So I will re-ask the direct question so i can understand the answer: Do the Android clients auto exit after a period of time? (I suspect the answer will be the same but my questionable wording of the question makes the answer questionable. ) I really need to simplify my wording on some things. -
Saving a remote image within a IRemoteMetadataProvider
ExpedientFalcon replied to ExpedientFalcon's topic in Developer API
Thanks, given that, if I know the URL of the remote image I want to save, in this case as the primary image for a season, how should I go about setting that in the MetadataResult that gets returned from the RemoteMetadataProvider? I have tried `result.Item.SetImage`, which does not seem to work, and `result.Item.AddImage` and `result.Images` seem to require the image to already be on the local filesystem. -
Hi, we will have atmos and dtsx detection in future updates. Thanks.

Saving a remote image within a IRemoteMetadataProvider
Luke replied to ExpedientFalcon's topic in Developer API
Hi, the image provider doesn’t save images, rather it tells the core server what images are available and the core server will decide what to save based on settings in library setup. -

Hi, what channel names are you expecting to see you there? Do they contain bbc in the name? -

Hi, are you trying to sign in to your own Emby server, or someone else’s? When you mention docker it would seem like your own server, but when you say website it sounds like you don’t even recognize your own server url. So which is it?

Saving a remote image within a IRemoteMetadataProvider
ExpedientFalcon posted a topic in Developer API
I have a plugin with a IRemoteMetadataProvider where I am trying to save an image file to a season item. I found a thread here recommending to use IProviderManager.SaveImage, but the code in that thread does not work since newer versions of this function require an IDirectoryService to be passed in. The issue I am seeing is that it seems my IRemoteMetadataProvider class can't access an IDirectoryService, even when I attempt to dependency inject it. I receive this error on server startup: Is there an extra step I need to take to make this work, or possibly I need to save the image from some place other than inside IRemoteMetadataProvider.GetMetadata? -

Hi, as a test, if you disable hardware transcoding, how do things compare?

I setup my server on my new pc today. Added my hdhr flex 4k and antenna. Added it to the live tv portion and used emby guide data for the guide. For some reason the guide data is 4 hours a head of what it should be. I cant record or schedule recordings. What am I doing wrong? I set it up just like I did the first time I set up emby. How do I get the guide data corrected?
-
Of course, possibly hundreds of times over the many months.

Nope, it's not correct. I'm trying to help debug why the Top 100 of 1968 (66 songs) were included in the shuffle of "Blue-Eyed Soul" when only ONE song was that genre. The rest showed up intermixed with actual songs tagged with Genre:Blue-Eyed Soul. I'm not sure why Emby doesn't just go song-by-song and get the genres of each of them right.
