ADM - Adult Metadata for Adult Movies - *OFFLINE due to Law Changes*
mickle026 replied to mickle026's topic in Plugins
ADM Plugin does not scrape anything, it accesses a flatfile database which is huge. I still have all the data, all I have done at the moment is turned the server off. Currently I have very little time on my hands to do much of anything computer related. However I am open to ideas, so it could possibly be re-instated in the not so distant future. All I have to do is comply legally by making absolutely sure no minors can access the data. For me that's a bit of a challenge, the current server would need some changes as well as the plugin. -

Ahh okay. Well at any rate she plugged it in at her place and it all works. So idk why my test run didn't work but it's all good now. She's going to get another roku to leave at the apartment so we don't have to deal with this again. Thank you all for the help, much appreciate.

I think you are misunderstanding. Set it up with internet and WiFi working on her router. Now connect the Roku to that router and login normally. That will work with internet since the ethernet cable is hooked up. Run all the System Update and let the Roku update anything it must. Including the Emby app. The Roku Emby app must stay in sync with the version of Emby server you use. Once you get the Roku to work correctly with internet this is the part where it can confuse you. You need to pull the power cord off the Roku. Make it believe there was a power outage that also wiped out the internet. Then pull the ethernet from the router. Now plug the power back into the Roku. It will auto-connect to the router and notice no internet and ask to check the connection. Tell it skip or not to or press Home on the remote. There is an option to NOT have it check the connection and reconnect. Once you skip it shouldn't bother you again. It will just think you have a temporary internet outage after the power outage. You will be left with the Roku light blinking since it cannot access internet. This is how Roku makes it so users are aware the device cannot update. But you should be able to double-press the Home button and get to your apps. Emby will launch, but will trigger the dialog that says it might need internet. You can launch it anyways. Make sure you are not entering the WiFi setup again after you initially set it up.

Hi. I'm disconnected to my server, too. How can I regain access to my server? I can sign in but it looks like i have 2 shared libraries. The one that's working isn't updated to the latest shows/episodes. I can't reconnect to my reliable/typical shared library that was current to all movies and shows.

I have this exact same issue on an android tablet. Only for certain titles. Funnily enough I'm also trying to download pirates of the Caribbean (2003). And it just sits on ready to transfer, but never downloads
-
@LukeI've noticed this happens a lot more when going from one device to another. Like, pausing it on my TV and then try to resume on the iPad.

So I actually had brought her router and roku to my house, plugged the router into my modem to provide internet. Then I signed in on the Roku (but I didn't have her server with me so I couldn't actually sign into the server on the emby app). Upon unhooking the ether net cable providing internet to her router, the Roku says not connected on the main screen and when I try to connect to that same router/ssid, it fails.

parrealexander started following Problema Emmy TV LG

Good! I'm going to try to put all the details of the problem. I have an AS6704TGen2 asustor with emby premiere installed. In my house, with an LG C1, I have no problem. I have 1gb of speed. I share my library with a friend of mine. My friend has an LG Nanocell 2024. The other day I wanted to watch this movie but when it hits play, the emby app closes suddenly, and the television says that it comes out due to lack of memory. I add the screenshot movies of those that make me unable to watch the movies. In my nas I want to do Directplay, and I configured the user to the maximum everything. I also add a screenshot. I'm already desperate to know the origin of the reason why it doesn't work. In case you can help me. Thank you very much.

The searching for books works good. It can be a bit challenging at time with the same book appearing as multiple different works on OpenLibrary. But that's a data quality issue on their end and has nothing to do with Emby. Right now I can see that once identified Emby scrapes the cover, title and description of the books. It would be really nice if it got the other info as well - release date and year and author would some of the items at the very top of my wish list in this regard. But publisher, rating, language and series would also be very nice meta-data to get too.

TV Show Library problems - What is Flaklypa??
Luke replied to thelostswede's topic in General/Windows
We'd have to see the server log, but generally it takes the name of the folder that it thinks is the tv series and plugs that into tvdb/moviedb searches. -
TV Show Library problems - What is Flaklypa??
thelostswede replied to thelostswede's topic in General/Windows
Which is fine, but how come it decided not just for me, but at least for two other people, that the show in question was Flåklypa and at least in my case, mixed it up with something else? That makes no sense at all, especially as I don't know what either of those are. -
Thanks. I turned the intros off, and it still doesn't play. Im thinking its something with the Nvidia Shield. I have two Onn 4k boxes in my bedrooms, and the movie plays fine. I have two Nvidia Shields, and tried it on both of them, and it just won't play. It's weird because the Nvidia will normally play anything.

TV Show Library problems - What is Flaklypa??
Luke replied to thelostswede's topic in General/Windows
We plan to be able to support more mish mash folder structures. We’re just not quite there yet. -
I would think you wouldn't have to undo anything. Hopefully the patch is smart enough to only autocorrect videos which aren't rotated correctly in the first place. Just like the other video players do. Otherwise, everybody's movies will be upside down in the future.

Thanks all. I changed the permission as indicated and scanning worked. When looking for that permission it wasn't obvious where it was located on the Synology. I took a while to find it.

FYI: This log shows the following number of entries: .avi 1,560 items .mkv 10,945 items .mp4 260 items Time line from: 2025-07-05 00:00:00.027 to: 2025-07-05 16:18:01.485 (16 hours 18 minutes) I would guess this large number of media content. Is this being added to the dbase? If that is true, why wouldn't this also cause playback to be limited, buffered or not play at all while these 12, 765 items are being processed? Can this huge amount of content be causing the problem?

TV Show Library problems - What is Flaklypa??
thelostswede replied to thelostswede's topic in General/Windows
So because of that, Emby should identify them as something it's not, in fact, two different shows that have nothing related to each other? Sounds logical. -
Correct. When adding a library server only needs access at the "shared folder" level. Which is what those instructions in the link were for. For playback you also need folder and file permissions at the system level to be correct. To make life easier I would not have all my libraries in the root of volume1 Instead create one shared folder under volume1 and have the libraries under that. example: /volume1/MyMedia/Movies /volume1/MyMedia/TV Shows /volume1/MyMedia/Music /volume1/MyMedia/Pictures In that example "MyMedia" is the only shared folder needed. It doesn't need to be that way, but if not then you're messing with permissions in several locations instead of just one.

TV Show Library problems - What is Flaklypa??
GrimReaper replied to thelostswede's topic in General/Windows
You have excessive number of season-only folders there - causing Emby to treat your TV shows root as a series folder. Each TV show needs to have its own folder (season folders underneath that are not mandatory, but recommended). TV Naming Rename/restructure, rescan. -

Hi, can you try the 4.9.1.4 beta package and see if that helps? Thanks.
