2 questions for @ebr 1. Under any user in emby UI, under devices access, there are all known devices on emby server listed. This information is going to emby servers for counting. How is logicality possible that that list shows TOTAL of 36 devices, and emby server is saying that limit of 45 devices has been reached ? I repeat again, that list shows ALL devices on emby server. 2. If 1 user uses 3 different browsers on SAME MACHINE DEVICE (firefox, safari, IE), and plays 3 movies in a week, all transcoded so it is premiere feature. How many devices in this case is counted ? 3 or 1. I repeat again, 3 difffrent browsers on same user under devices shows 3 devices for same user but 3 browsers are listed separately, so they are counted as 3. So many things are broken here....so many....

You're getting closer. Look into Sonarr and Radarr since SANnzbd is not really suited for media file management. But I think this one is the right package: emby-server-deb_4.8.5.0_arm64.deb So I would like to remove /purge this package emby-server-deb_4.8.5.0_armhf.deb first Ho can I do this via the GUI or SSH? I just cam on to search and post a similar issue. i dont actually watch live TV but I do have emby record the news each night. emby is recording from the Hdhr tuners (very old HDHR dual devices). the last two days, the recording is located, then freezes/stops playback. only change is I took the latest prod release the day this started. i will be doing some tests over the coming days (record native from m3u in TVHeadend etc) so I won’t post logs until I have more info. just chiming in as you have a few reports and maybe more the better.

One week thing is too long, as server admin you don't have any means to clean devices or anything, that's the point. Browsers count, you can see every browser used on users device access in emby UI. If browsers were not counted and i m not talking about browser who is using premiere features rather basic browser access browsing, i now would not be over the limit of 45 devices, because i don't have that many devices in total. Emby premiere devices counting and management for emby admins who bought emby premiere is flawed, thats a fact.

The one week thing enables you to go a few days without Internet access for verifying the premiere status - some people use that. Browsers do not need to be enabled as clients, neither by paying nor by Premiere; but any device (even a browser) which uses a Premiere facility on the server gets counted. Paul

Counting of devices needs to be fixed ASAP. I have counted all of my devices several times (you can find exact number of devices on user access device screen) and they are below 45 of my license, regardless emby shows over the limit message and blocks new devices. Also, this "one week counting" is major flaw, it should be max 24 hours. Is browser counted as device ? On many posts there is info that browsers are not counted, some say they are, i also think they are. Seems like emby devs on purpose don't want to fix this flaws.

We need a stable version (I don't remember the last one) 4.8.x.x has many bugs and the developers either don't respond, or they solve it when 10 more bugs have already been created. Device management, we cannot see what number of devices are being used as premiere, we cannot manage them. Premier device count is meaningless, if you use dark mode in chrome your device is premiere ONE WEEK. A friend uses Chrome, mobile, tablet, TV (maybe more, at work, second tablet, another TV), if you have 10 friends or family, it is very very easy to reach the limit of 25, 45 or 75 devices. I myself use emby on my two phones, tablet, 2 TVs, 2 work computers, my computer at home, my laptop, on the server itself, my car screen and I'm sure I forget some more. Just me, I use 11 premiere devices, it doesn't make any sense. Why do the premiere devices count a week, wouldn't it be better to have a day, or simultaneously playing at that same moment? One week is too long, on top of that you have no option to choose a plan with more than 75 devices because they already treat you as illegal I don't use emby's epg, I use my own xml. You have to focus on stability and offer better options and answers to those of us who pay

I've noticed some odd behaviour when testing content restrictions. I want another user to have access to a subset of a music library and used tags to accomplish this. I applied the tag that allows that user see the content to the "artist" level in the metadata editor so that all the albums under that artist are okayed at once. When I go into the library as this user the expected albums are there in the suggestions tab and the artists are there in the artist tabs, but in the albums tab there is nothing. Navigating to an artist page I get a list of their songs in alphabetical order, but no list of albums like there usually is. The songs play so the content is properly getting whitelisted with the tag system but it's just skipping the album layer.

This is not true. I am having freezing issues with the native android app. It keeps transcoding. I disable the transcode in the server, emby will not play. I enable it and go to the transcoding folder. Found out that it is transcoding. It seems when you updated to the newest ffmpeg something went wrong. You may wanna take a look at it again, no not no bs error logs etc. You compiled the software. Last time I sent in a bug, you forgot to add in an important piece of code. It took me a lot of messages and being mad and sending you reports. Turns out someone else seen your mistake. As of this time you need no reports, you go back to ffmpeg and emby and your see. It is transcoding. I didn't need a million error reports to find that. This is a problem in the release and beta. I am replacing my ffmpeg in your folder to use a version that works.

I would like the view options to be similar to the main movies folder, so I can choose what to see in the collections folder. Where I can see the bit rate and space the movie takes. Also how long it is and the quality at a glance. Currently there is no setting options in the collection folder to be able to change the view option. Or I cannot find it

An update. I ran these 2 ACL commands - setfacl -R -m user:emby:rwX /home/media/Downloads/complete setfacl -R -m d:user:emby:rwX /home/media/Downloads/complete and it looks like it's picking up the files now. Is this the correct method to allow permission to this emby user?

To confirm - it's this FireTV Devices yes ? (AFTSS) Device Specifications: Fire TV Streaming Media Player | Amazon Fire TV If yes, then it clearly states it supports Main10@L4 .. I guess over to the dev's as I suspect you are correct, emby is simply not reading the device properly for its capabilities. The earlier FireTV stick (1st and 2nd Gen) do not support Main10 - so perhaps it is mistakenly thinking it is one of those.. ?
