hukt_own_fonikz 9 Posted July 4 Posted July 4 I searched and came across a power shell script to copy a rating for TV shows, but I don't have a Windows machine and I would think this feature should be simpler anyway. As is, it seems that setting an Album to a parental rating only allows my child account to see the album but none of the songs. There is no option to edit metadata for multiple items at once, so it's very time consuming to approve content. If Songs do not have a rating, could they inherit the rating from the Album they belong to? That still allows individual songs to have a different rating, but overall allowing an Album for a child account would be much less time consuming.
Luke 40106 Posted Sunday at 01:30 AM Posted Sunday at 01:30 AM Hi, it should just inherit. Can you please provide a specific example? Thanks.
hukt_own_fonikz 9 Posted Sunday at 02:48 PM Author Posted Sunday at 02:48 PM It's not working on my end. Here's an album I just marked PG but didn't touch any songs. They have blank parent and custom ratings.

hukt_own_fonikz 9 Posted Tuesday at 12:56 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 12:56 PM Yes, the first screenshot is from my parent account and the second is from the child account. The album is visible but none of the songs are. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
ebr 15670 Posted Tuesday at 03:03 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:03 PM So it is actually working for the songs (they are inheriting properly) but not for the album itself...
hukt_own_fonikz 9 Posted Tuesday at 06:15 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 06:15 PM (edited) I don't think so? The album is visible in the childs account, and it shows up as PG, which is within the content ratings of that account. But the songs are unrated, so when you click on the album it's just an empty album. The songs are also not searchable, nor visible on the Songs tab. If I go through and mark each song PG as well, it works. But it takes a long time to mark individual songs. They're also named above in case they are showing up incorrectly. Parent.png is the parent account with full access. Child.png is the childs account that I'm referring to, the songs are not inheriting the parental rating from the album. Do you have the "Hide unrated content" option checked? If you uncheck it do they show? If so, it does sound like they are not inheriting properly.
