After reading this last response I went and double and triple checked my rig. I had unplugged the power to the powered USB hub believing that would be enough. It wasn't. I unhooked the USB extension cable that runs across the room and BAM. Issue solved. You guys are my hero. That's been driving me nuts for months.

Sorry for the late response, for some reason I didn't get any notifications on this topic, and it kind went by the wayside. This is happening in the TCL Roku TV app. Yes, it is sorted by title. It only is happening in the movies category, not in any other categories.

If you don't want/can't debug the problem then... Why not make it a daily scheduled event when you are asleep? Since your the only client on the server? The only downside I can see is if your Hdd's are set to sleep they will spin-up on reboot... I only reboot (Linux) for major OS updates...

Hello, Luke, it's not caused by plug-ins. Only emby of apple TV can't display the cover, and all other clients can display

Those are user transcoding permissions. So click on Users, then click on the User you're trying to play with. According to the log you restricted that user from being able to transcode.

Well I must be really stupid, I cannot find your "Media Playback" settings anywhere. I went thru every setting a couple of times. I had downgraded to 4.7.14, so I upgraded to 4.8.5.0, but I still didn't find your Media Playback settings. It's not in the section called "Playback" shown below, so where do I find this setting.

That app currently requires Premiere.

Emby for iOS 2.2.17 on a new iPad Pro. Queued up multiple movies to download. Three of them downloaded, the others are in "Ready to Transfer" state. It's been 15 minutes or more since the third completed downloading, and nothing is going on. I confirmed the same status in "Manage Downloads" on the iPad. iPad has over 1TB space available. Server is 4.8.6.0 running on a Mac mini. Both devices are on the same (home) network. embyserver.txt.zip

The 'Emby' version on Amazon does not have the option to unlock the App. The 'Emby for FireTV' does. The latter is a much older version of the app (v2.9.98a), whereas the 'Emby' app is v3.3.86 doesn't allow an unlock (take my money!) Screenshots from the very, very different UI experiences. The newer one is not unlockable... and I'm begging for it to be on its next release please!!

Vibrations near the racing wheel may be causing different paging commands to be sent to Emby resulting in the side menu opening. This could be just someone touching the wheel hardware, table that it rests on, or even just walking by causing a floor vibration that goes to the racing wheel. Is there an App Unlock hidden somewhere for: Emby for Android 3.3.82 I can administer my server with this version - but can't play from it (device limts). I have paid for Emby for FireTV which does work, but the UI for that is extremely out of date and I cannot administer my server from it. I appreciate App Unlocks are from yhe provider of the App (Amazon, Apple, Google) but this particular app doesn't have the option, or so it seems?? And I want to pay for it!

Can you try refreshing the metadata on the album? I just tested this and it worked just fine. I tagged a taylor swift album with the tag showit, then I set my user to only allow items tagged with showit. What I saw in the music library was the album under albums as well as taylor swift under artists.

Well it's a new iPhone with latest Emby app so, I'd assume user's quality settings. Thanks for clearing that up.

Most likely. We need to improve that help text. There are two reasons for video resolution, one being device support, the other being due to the quality setting.

Hi, when I try to play a media file from my browser, I get "Playback Error. No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contract your system administrator for details" This happens across different browsers and different devices. Log file is attached as well. Sometimes it goes away after multiple attempts but sometimes it persists. embyserver.txt
