Hi, I believe I saw in another post that searches were limited to 50 results to help the software run faster and not get bogged down with a search. I would guess, if you let searches run for all results without having pagination, it would be possible to eat up CPU speed so much that any other user watching something would stutter and stop. I have coded pagination for search results before and it has a lot of issues, takes many hours of time, causes bugs and I would guess the number of users who would actually make use of this is low. Dbase searches limited to 50 results makes much more sense, in my opinion.

???? @Lukereally? The option to "Randomize the playback queue " is pretty standard functionality. I always assumed you could in Emby. The standard convention, in most good players is shown below (highlighted in red) This happens to be Apple Music, my Emby client is shown below An open source basic music/ audio server.. The use case described is mainstream - add a couple of whatever to the queue and play in random order. -vicpa Feature Request or something else ?

I tried Emby for Android (Beta) again last night on my Zidoo Z9X as I saw in another post that it now allows external playback, which is necessary for some of my files that refuse to play properly on that box without it. It does seem to be working, but then I wanted to see what version I should be running for the best experience/least amount of issues. I checked my Google Play store, and the version I have installed is Emby for Android (Beta) 3.3.86. I see on another post that this should be up to 3.3.93 but my apps say says it's up to date. Do I need to leave beta to receive the newer update? Also, what is the difference between Emby for Android vs Emby for Android TV? That one my beta version says is up to 2.1.12g. I have various Android devices including: Nvidia Shield 2017 Nvidia Shield 2019 Zidoo Z9X Chromecast Onn 4K Should I be running one version exclusively over another, or is the Emby for Android TV specifically designed for certain devices? Should I get off of beta on both?

OK It seems it does not behave like I thought it did. The very act of displaying actors on screen makes EMBY create a folder for that actor with the image contained within (assuming they have an image already). As there is no easy way to display actors on screen, I tried searching by each vowel, then filtering to actors, then scrolling through them all, but that only gives a limited search result. So doing common names instead. Tedious, but it works. If anyone knows how to get all actors up at once so I can set my mouse to auto-scroll and walkway for an hour, please let me know.

I have the same issue and deleting the device.txt didn't help. Any advise ?

Another plugin is the mediainfo one if you have it. It will actually update your mkv files by modifying the headers.

I'm sure everyone wants emby to improve with regards to audiobooks! Messing around with tags and folder names to get things to play nice with emby is a mess at the moment. Don't get me wrong, been there, done that. Once you discover a server app that just works (ABS), it makes it hard to use emby for audiobooks. With ABS I can use Author/Book/Files structure (similar to music).. @jaycedkhas pointed out some of the tags used here... emby is tag driven as far as audio goes, hopefully they can add more for audiobooks .

Hi, since Mozilla updated their scoring at the observatory, my score went from A+ to D+, only because "Cross-origin Resource Sharing" scores "-50". Is there a way to up it a little again at Mozilla? The Third-party tests (those of them which works) still scores A+.

@ebrno because its been a long time & i actualy staryed replacing my tvs with samaung tvs which was another mistake. I'm gonna say the emby ui on samsung is beautiful & I love the picture quality on the samsung tv but for samsung not allow removal of many preinstalled apps, adding apps that can't be un-installed & even the bloated tv ui..... I have been left very disappointed. I know everyone says get the shield but they are starting to get a ton of ads on their devices also..... I know I strayed a little bit..... my apologies

Performance depends on the library size and on the nodes you are using. Also if you have the content synced anyway, the dynamic nodes works in a "hybrid" mode. The "root" content of a dynamic node always queried from Emby server. Sub-content of a dynamic node may partially loaded from Kodi database.

Hi community I recently restaured by hyperbackup my synology nas, but it doesn't do it to application emby (this is apparently normal). So i installed again today the application in synology, and try to connect all services like before. But I don't understand why, i can't access to emby by my domain name (http://domain.ovh:8096 for example) in a browser, but thats ok by the mac application or phone (with 4G, no wifi). Have you got an idea ? The browser answer is "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT"

Dynamic nodes can be used for unsynced content and for content not possible to sync e.g. photos. Also they might include filters just not possible by Kodi.

The version of the app you have has to have been manually installed on the device via an APK. Instead, you have to search the store and install from there.
