Hello, As requested in the below post I am starting a new thread with logs from a failed launch EmbyClient-20250715T151357206.txt, and a subsequent successful launch EmbyClient.txt. Logs slightly anonymized for my name and server address but otherwise unaltered. Per the logs I left the app open for about 4 minutes on the first launch and nothing happened, subsequent launch was good to go in a few seconds. As I mentioned in the other thread I am a very infrequent user of the Windows app, I am running Windows 10, and this is a VM with a dGPU that I leave running 24/7, currently been up for about 6 days. Right. But 2.226 has a change that it also monitors the NavigationCompleted event - which always fires and since then, none of the participants in this conversation has ever reported that it would still be a problem for them. This is evidence enough to assume that @SLMKis facing a different issue. We need a new topic and logs from him to look at. Or from yours, @Lessajif you still see this with the latest version. Thanks

Yep. A basic TOTP authentication would be fine. Plenty of open source libraries if they don't want to develop from scratch.

I really don't think it was or it wouldn't have been bumped. The CoreWebView2_DOMContentLoaded event is still not being fired sometimes or at least not completing and thus not logging, exactly as you previously described. I am a very infrequent user of the Windows app, probably less than once a month, but that's the only observation I've come to during this failure to load. I am on Windows 10. Yes closing and opening it again does work.

You're right, not "all files" but "a lot of files". However, if you haven't used one naming scheme for the episodes in question, you'd still have to check which version to prioritize. For me, it sometimes is about dub or sub, and this can vary depending on the series or movie. Using a renamer isn't going to cut it directly. Nevertheless, far better than no option.

The database is over 300 GB currently. One solution would be to alter the plugin to work as invite only, but I am still obligated to check ages using the standard they require. Paypal users have to be minimum 18 years old so that's a possibility, make a small contribution via that, as that would be a way to verify the age. I don't have time at the moment to sort this out this month, but it's a possibility.

Hi, LG TV's do not support PGS subtitles natively, so that's why this happens.

I think, if this tag is implemented, you don't have to rename all your files. You'll just have to rename hig priority ones or low priority ones, or only those you don't want on WAN... Ant renamer is very gifted for this task. And if you're a "perfectionist" you can update .mkv title to reflect the file name. I do this on all my files. I made a program to achieve this.

Although the question is not addressed to me, I could answer it myself: 1 in Cinema intros you cannot choose the file but only the folder and as such if there are multiple files in the folder they will all be played....

Here I have to take a quick look at my head, I'm not quite that stupid. Of course the videos have chapters, I press the progress bar at the bottom with my finger and the titles of the individual chapters are displayed, but I can't jump to them directly.

The "standard" app does have an improved player that does clear up a number of playback glitches and, eventually, I understand it is destined to replace the Android for TV app BUT it is clumsy for me to use and I discovered that most of the playback problems I have had could be cleared up by using playback correction accessed by pressing the down arrow during playback and choosing settings and then playback correction. The new app does work OK and is useable but it is clumsy to use and it does not have labels under the posters in the next up row. It seems Emby thinks the pictures and having info at the top of the page is enough. But it would be good to be able to see both the poster and the name at the same time. There are also many other places where the new app behaves clumsily or is counter intuitive. I do NOT recommend the new app but I also understand we will all be forced to use it sometime fairly soon. I keep both installed on my Shield but I only use the older app 99% of the time for now. It keeps me from yelling at the TV as much and that keeps peace between me and my dog. BTW: It has been weeks since I had a playback glitch using the old app so either the old app has had improvements to its player or the videos I have been playing are simply "better" than the ones I ran into problems with.

Well, making it a paid plugin could solve two problems a) it covers cost and b) usually payment providers only let through adults. For a free demo-mode you could serve blurred covers. Aside from that, if you decide to give the project up, it would be nice to be able run this locally, or get access to the db, so someone could merge that into an existing or new project at some point.

It depends on their terms of use. If they're ok with pulling data from their website, then it's probably fine. The bigger question for this though is whether or not a TV library (and it's naming rules) are adequate for sports content.

Tvheadend is what works for me with either a spawn profile or pipe embedded into the mux. Channel startup and stability is a lot better than what I experienced with dispatcharr.

Yes, that's what I was reffering to. It only applies to movies or shows and not collections. It just looks odd that my entire library looks like this but only the collections section works in a different manner, so obviously I want it sorted out.

This would be really nice to have. Currently when I add a new user; I create a local account with a somewhat random password, then I hand off the details to that person. Unless I make a point of pestering them to change it, until they actually do; in 7 years NONE of them have ever chosen to change their passwords themselves. They ALWAYS leave it as whatever I'd set for them, which means those passwords are often sitting in some sms/email/dm chat history somewhere, or the user forgets what their password is because they never set up one they'll remember and now I've gotta reset it for them.
