sa2000 714 Posted Tuesday at 04:19 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:19 PM @amck24The log file you attached is for an emby server running on windows and not the one running on the nvidia shield Connect to your emby server through its IP Address and port 8096 just like when you are adding a library and instead - select Logs in the settings and then download the logs
sa2000 714 Posted Tuesday at 05:16 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:16 PM (edited) What is the library path that you are trying to add to the library you are creating? I think you are specifying the whole external HDD as the folder path 2026-04-14 17:48:47.705 Info App: Creating folder in database BE6D-992A - /storage/BE6D-992A 2026-04-14 17:48:47.738 Info App: Created folder in database BE6D-992A 4 - /storage/BE6D-992A This then led to lots of errors as emby was accessing other folders which would not be available 2026-04-14 17:49:34.862 Error App: Error in GetFileSystemEntries for /storage/BE6D-992A/Android/data .. 2026-04-14 17:49:34.866 Error App: Error in GetFileSystemEntries for /storage/BE6D-992A/Android/obb .. 2026-04-14 17:49:34.892 Error BaseItem: Error validating children for data 1973 /storage/BE6D-992A/Android/data I do see Emby server found movies below this path /storage/BE6D-992A/NVIDIA_SHIELD/Documentaries/ So can you restart the server and delete any libraries you created and create a documentaties library with the Add Folder path being just this /storage/BE6D-992A/NVIDIA_SHIELD/Documentaries/ and if that is ok, create other libraries for other media subfolders below the "/storage/BE6D-992A/NVIDIA_SHIELD/" parent folder Edited Tuesday at 05:18 PM by sa2000

amck24 2 Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I have managed to get access on my phone and shield TV on my local network. Stuck at trying to access it at my work. Sky broadband is a bit of a nightmare for port forwarding. Is this the correct method in the photo below? I am back on shift next week so I can try access it again on my tablet. Did you go through the checklist and did you spot the one about having two emby servers on the local network?
amck24 2 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago So I have to change the public port? Can I delete the PC server and just have the Shield one to save confusion?

There is 7 day expiry for port maps created by Emby Server. You can circumvent that by rebooting the router. So make sure the redundant server does not have the option for auto launch on login to windows. Shut it down. Reboot the router Then setup the nvidia shield as the only emby server with 8096 as the port to forward to the server With multiple emby server the solution would be as specified in the article: > In such cases, you will need to change the public ports and ensure that each emby server has a different public port. But whilst most routers allow you to have a different public port from the private/local port, some routers do not. For routers that support it, you would have one port forward for example forwarding wan/public port 32601 to lan/private port 8096 for the first server and say wan/public port 32602 to lan/private port 8096 for the second server and in each server settings you specifiy public port 32601 for first server and 32602 for second server Edited 1 hour ago by sa2000
