Thanks for the help. I checked the logs and everything appears to be fine. The problem lies with the Android TV box: it no longer gets the correct date and time with the local network, and it persists even after I reset the box twice and use wi-fi instead of wired. It happened before for this box and another one in the same network, and then a day later disappeared; I'm guessing that it's some sort of problem with the ISP and accessing the NTP. In any case, I think it works either way: transcode using the Emby server or using Kodi (by setting the audio to default, then activate passthrough and the option to transcode to ac3.

I'm having a problem with Emby, the media stops playing and then starts playing again. @LukeAny progress on solving the glitching issue? It persists in multiple different file types and without a clear cause. I have solved the subtitle problem by getting new files. But I cannot find a specific cause to the glitching problem to know what to fix. I have submitted log files but heard nothing. And I cannot continue to attempt playback correction every time I watch a show. I reinstalled Plex to try these same files there to see if I have the same issue, and I do not. So it is clearly an Emby problem.

I've had an emby server for a few months now and it's worked fine with emby connect. But today no one who was logged in via their connect email and password could access the server, accept for my mother who's email worked fine. I can still log in via my IP but the reason I paid for premium was so I wouldn't have to remember my IP and then manually log into my user profile. Restarting the server didn't fix anything.

I'm running LibreELEC 11.0.6 w/ Kodi 20.3. When upgrading from 8.2.14 to 9.4.20, I have the same issue that AurelMarius had with Kodi status not syncing with the Emby server. Everything plays just fine. But without the status, the server doesn't mark anything as watched. I tried disabling my PVR addons, but this gave the same result. Hopefully my log can give some insight. LibreELEC 12 is still in beta, so I won't be able to EmbyforKodi 10 for a little while. kodi.log

Hey there, A Pi 4 (Presumably 5, I don't have one) will indeed direct play at least 3(or more) HD streams concurrently (never tested more than 4). But although the (3/4) do have have some HW acceleration, it's woefully disappointing...

Hi, I'm using, experimenting, with v21 Omega and I have a rather odd issue occurring. Your plugin from about 9.x to 10.now works great all on it's own, no issues there. The ODD issue that comes into play is with some settings that it reverts every time I restart Kodi. I like Kodi to read tags for music files and for video files outside of Emby. Whenever I close Kodi, these settings are reverted back to false every single time. It's just this addon that's doing this but can't figure out why. I even went into the "guisettings.xml" file in "C:\Users\Me\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata" and changed these values manually; <setting id="myvideos.usetags" default="true">false</setting> <setting id="myvideos.extractflags">false</setting> <setting id="myvideos.extractthumb">false</setting> <setting id="musicfiles.findremotethumbs">false</setting> <setting id="musicfiles.usetags">false</setting> ...by setting them all to true. I open Kodi and the moment the Emby addon kicks in, these settings revert back to false. I used "WinMerge" to note the moment the file changed and in what areas of the file. I went through disabling all addons and the issue stopped. I enabled just this addon, since its used the most, and the issue is back. I've tried many versions from 9.x to 10.now, all while deleting its addon data as well, so with no settings at all. The moment the addon starts after opening Kodi, it removes these settings first thing then prompts for the usual "use native" or "addon default" box. I can't say if this occurs with 8.x and v21 because I couldn't get it to bring in movies, just tv shows. I figured it's too old which is likely why. I don't have this issue with v19 and 8.x. Flawless setup there. I think v9.4.15 is when movies and tv shows BOTH worked. ...but then this current issue was the odd result. Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

what causes emby to seem to load but your next up and continue watching dont ever load? Everything else seems to load up

Hi, @mbc0 Experience with CloudFlare tunnel has been great! I only really use it for audio, but have done some testing with video and didn't find any difference between having ports directly open or using a reverse proxy set-up.

@markpeoHi, I am looking to go down the cloudfare route as I am using a 5G router and Vodafone do not allow port forwarding, can I ask what your overall experience is please? any problems? Thank you!

I was curious about this, as I shuffle music a lot (though mainly from different starting points). From some brief experimenting, yes, I think there is some 'weirdness' happening with the various random shuffle modes now: Shuffle all, from the Songs tab, appears to be working as expected. Shuffle all from the Albums tab, returns some strange results. Previously (Emby 4.7.x) it would return a random order of whole albums, as best as I recall. Now (Emby 4.8.5.0) it starts with a random order of whole albums, but then changes to a mix of two albums only, then completely random songs, then back to two albums mixed, then one album all together..... Shuffle all, from the Album Artists tab, also returns weird results, similar to the Albums shuffle all above. I do not think this is 'normal' at all (it doesn't greatly concern me though as I don't use the Album shuffle all mode greatly). If I have time a bit later on, I may experiment some more and provide more exact detailed examples with screenshots. In the meantime, it may be worth Emby having a quick look to see if Shuffle is actually working correctly across the different tabs... it should be easy to replicate what I have described...

Seems like cause for a feature request: On the Albums tab, shuffle albums (keep album song order) On the Artist tab, shuffle by artist (randomize artist songs... unclear what is desirable here).

I agree with MangoBro. I too have an LG TV and at this point Emby is worthless for movies because most of them are in DTS and I can't hear them. I an option to manually select audio formats would be fantastic even if it is an advanced option like others within Emby.

I think it appears like after you start scrolling down iirc. But yes the appletv app is worthless doesn’t support Dolby vision either.

So I setup a new server recently and restored from a backup using the plugin from the old server and rsynced over all the media. And I'm having a weird issue where the Movies library detects no items after a full scan, I have to do a refresh metadata on the library for the movies to appear but then any subsequent library scan wipes them all out again. What makes this odd is that the issue didn't exist on the prior server and all the files are the same. I have the files inside the Emby users home folder and I already did chown emby:emby on all the media. I thought it might be an issue with hardware transcoding so I updated gpu drivers and double checked that it was working properly. Issue on Roku persists. Just sent another log. as of like 20 seconds ago

My reasoning was if the mediastream count == 0 then it has not been scanned yet but as you have pointed out if there are other local items in the path these are probably being picked up as streams and it will be > 0 but still not be scanned. there was probably a reason at the time but I dont remember.

If I add [] or some special character I can put text without the system identifying it as something, for example the name of the actress and the day and month, things that the system does not interpret, at least not yet.
