Will there be a feature soon even if it's for premiere members where we can download the content to roku? just like how it's downloadable for the iphone app. I really want to know if this is even possible.

Hi, I'm not sure that Roku provides a way for developers to do this, but if they do then yes it's possible for the future. Thanks.

It isn't possible to download media to the Roku device.
The only write access we have is in TMP and that is limited to 25MB sandbox (which includes size of the extracted application). Not much you can do with such a small space. Same with the CacheFS (cache file system space). It can only hold a very small amount of data.

The Roku was meant to be a streaming device. You can copy media to the USB drive and use Roku Media Player to play them. The Emby Roku application does not run from USB files since resume, watched states, metadata, etc all require an Emby server.

There would be no point in doing this, the storage space of the roku as well as that of the firestick is much too limited.
