Cthalpa 10 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 1) Why are you showing us, that you can ping from your own PC, when it's the server that has an issue? 2) InnerException: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: Name or service not known This could be a DNS issue, OR a ripple effect of your system not being able to MAP the PORT as shown below. 3) 2020-05-18 18:57:28.539 Error PortMapper: Error creating port map It's not an emby issue, its a dns and/or port issue. You should seek help with your distro vendor!
sesipod 0 Posted June 5, 2020 Author Posted June 5, 2020 Sorry I completely forgot to respond here. I will have a secondary check with the server and see if this is still an issue. I do not see any sort of playback or update issues with the server. I made this post more or less to see what emby is trying to do with this request and why is it connecting to there. As to the ping both systems are on the same DNS and both can reach the ip via ping just never posted the ping back from Linux but both are able to reach.
sesipod 0 Posted June 5, 2020 Author Posted June 5, 2020 3) 2020-05-18 18:57:28.539 Error PortMapper: Error creating port map So is emby trying to open a port for connections back to the sever? Something like upnp?
Luke 39793 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 3) 2020-05-18 18:57:28.539 Error PortMapper: Error creating port map So is emby trying to open a port for connections back to the sever? Something like upnp? That is the automatic port mapper feature.
