How to get server log if emby server won’t start?

Try removing the .dll file from emby servers folder structure.

Thanks for this Luke.  This works really well (and yes, it's self explanatory)

Just installed to try.  Could not subsequently access emby via web or app on Windows 10 64.  Remove .dll as detailed above.  Could again access emby.  Reinstallation of plugin causes same result.

Possibly antivirus/web protection is causing this but temporarily stopping them does not help.

It will be in the "logs" folder under your Emby-Server folder.  (your dashboard will tell you where this is as well)

Devices will be available as remote control targets to play on, using the cast menu.

Where do I see this cast menu in Emby Theatre?

it's the same icon that the web app uses.

But it's not shown when Theater is in TV mode. TV apps are not typically used to remote control other devices.

Can it be enabled to show as an option in tv mode?

Settings are possible i suppose, but not by default. It just doesn't belong there. And also, I haven't done the work to make sure the menu is TV remote friendly, although I'm guessing it would be fine, I just don't know.

Oh, so you've just restored the previously removed playto functionality. So this doesn't help at all if sonos is not on the same lan as emby.

Play To was never removed, and you can still use the Dlna plugin for that. This plugin provides the same thing, but is specifically tuned for Sonos devices.

I'm seeing this too. Not a big deal as i don't really use Emby for music that much but not great....happy to test again and provide a server log.

Hello !

By cons it is still not possible to add an Emby server in Sonos as can be done with Plex or Subsonic for music ...

It would be a real plus !

lionel

PS :

Remote server : OK but no sonos on clients

Local server : NOK, I have removed the dll
