jhoff80 87
It works again by restarting the service, but this has been true in 3.3.1.0 and 3.3.0. I stop being able to connect via browser or app. The last few hours have been the same errors repeating in the logs. 2018-03-06 12:39:42.226 Error PortMapper: Error creating port map: Luke 37095
Are you experiencing a problem or are you just reporting something from your log file?
jhoff80 87
Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear on that. Yes, the server stops responding to connections (both local and remote), whether from the browser or the app (Android and iPhone). The only way I am then able to connect again is to restart the server.

jhoff80 87
See attached. The problem was observed and server was restarted around 12:50ish, but I don't know how long it had been doing it for. server-63655891200.txt Edited March 6, 2018 by jhoff80
Jdiesel 1114
Sounds like the same issue I've been having for a few weeks now. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/56333-question-about-connecting-ombi-to-emby/&do=findComment&comment=551601
mobamoba 12
+1 on this issue. My log shows no errors; I can simply no longer access my Emby server other than on my LAN IP using port 8096. All other access simply dies. And it happens randomly and out of nowhere - one second I'm watching a show; a minute later I can no longer access Emby. An Emby Server restart solves it every time. QDivision 39
I had the same issue the other day, could not connect externally. A server restart fixed it but will monitor to see if it happens again.
Scott310 134
I believe I am seeing this issue as well. I will try to log in from my phone and can't get in. Then if I take over the server with remote desktop and restart the server I can get connected after that.
QDivision 39
Can confirm its happened again. There is definitely an issue here. I access my server over https so it maybe just affecting that protocol.
mobamoba 12
I think it's an https issue as well because when it happens, I can still access my server locally using the http port.

Jdiesel 1114
I tried disabling the Roku thumbnail plugin and had to reboot again this morning. I am also running a signed SSL certificate and have blocked http connections It seems like if it happens when plackback it active the file will continue to play but as soon as playback has ended the server will be unreachable. jhoff80 87
Definitely seems to be that SSL / https is the biggest common factor as I only connect that way as well.
mbnwa 49
Strange, I have been away from the house all week and am not seeing this issue and I only utilize SSL (granted non-ssl is an option I just have the ports blocked) - I have my ports hard forwarded and not utilizing UPNP could this be a UPNP issue vs an SSL issue? jhoff80 87
For what it's worth, I don't use live TV so that's not a factor here at least. And while I have UPnP enabled in Emby I also have the ports directly mapped on my router. I wonder though - I did change away from the default ports... could that possibly be something in common for those of us seeing the issue?

It is getting to the point where it is almost unusable without constant babysitting. PMed you another logfile. As a workaround on linux, you could make a script where it checks every minute if the server is reachable, and if it is not reachable, try it onemore time, and then restart it.
