Redshirt 1487
Which I think is great because it provides a graceful way to display windows games that haven't been configured without playing them causing issues.
Drexyl 4
Hey guys, any progress with loading Windows games? I only ask because I'm bored at work, waiting for 5:00pm to roll around and not looking forward to having to actually get up off the couch to play South Park: Stick of Truth over the weekend. Tester 45
Yes I see this same issue now as well, I only use the plugin for windows game so I cannot comment on the rest. It is trying to launch the game as external disc as well.
Redshirt 1487
OK guys. I've uploaded version 3.0.0.34 of GameBrowser-Classic. It will require your plugin update level set to beta before you can install it and is dependent on MediaBrowser-Classic version 3.0.143.0. The reason this update is beta is because I'm trying to make the necessary changes without destroying existing settings files. So please let me know 1. settings are preserved and 2. play button exists if windows/dos game has indeed been configured to launch a local file. Drexyl 4
Hey Redshirt, Just some preliminary observations here (as my setups probably a bit of a mess at the moment) No games are showing up after reboot (emulated games are missing too) Config won't save locations of Windows games exe's or emulator paths. They still show in the web interface though I'll rebuild my server to make sure it's all clean and report back with more details. Thanks, Drexyl

X-Raid 0
FWIW, this happened to me as well and I uninstalled and reinstalled GB3 from both the server and the client. They all reappeared after the reinstall. Drexyl 4
EDIT: It seems it was my Media Center that has the issue. I installed MBC on another clean client, Windows games work, but my emulators now throw an "unknown error prevented this game from launching." Think I might go back to bed... ----- Thanks for the tip X-Raid, unfortunately that didn't work for me. I've just reinstalled a clean copy of Windows 2012-R2 and Media Browser Server. I also reinstalled Media Browser Classic on my Media Center, after deleting associated files. Problem still persists. Games show up in MBC 3.0.143 with plugin version 3.0.0.32, but after installing 3.0.0.34 all the games are gone, and when configuring Game Browser in Media Center Classic Configurator, all the settings are blank, and no settings are saved. While writing this post, I went and did some more checking of what was going on and discovered that %ProgramData%\MediaBrowser-Classic\Plugins\Configurations\GameBrowser.xml was blank. So I grabbed an old copy and threw it in there, and games now show up in MBC. However, I still can't load Windows games and it says "CANNOT PLAY - Item is an external disc, please insert the proper disc". Even with the latest Dev server update. Here are the versions I ended up with. Media Browser Server - 3.0.5192.41485 Game Browser Server - 2.9.5184.24602 Media Browser Classic - 3.0.144.0 3-21.1 (Although while installing it, it said 3.0.143.0) Game Browser Classic - 3.0.0.34 Hope some of this information is useful. blixt99 1
As of 03/23 @ 1:30 PM Server Version 3.0.5192.41485 MBC Version 3.0.144 3-21.1 Chocolate Theme 3.0.4.8 GameBrowser-Classic 3.0.0.34 GameBrowser III Server 2.9.5184.24602 Up-date to GB 3.0.0.34 didn't help. Still no play button for my PC games. All games played perfectly from MBC a week ago. Even my Steam library games played without a hitch. What happened? Why the External Disk ribbon overlay on the game covers? When I hit Ctrl and P keys on the games coverflow I get this......... ArCaDe 2
I too updated & i'm now getting the error: "CANNOT PLAY - Item is an external disc, please insert the proper disc". Im running MBC 3.0.146.0.3-24.2, I had to set it to Dev updates since it said it was up to date when I was running 3.0.143 & had beta updates selected. GBC version is 3.0.0.34. Unfortunately my internet is down so I cant provide the requested XML file ATM.

Redshirt 1487
pushed 3.0.0.35 as a beta. See if it works as expected. Requires MBC 3.0.143 or higher. You guys with 0 byte config files should delete them after upgrading before going back into the configurator to configure games.
ArCaDe 2
Just updated to 3.0.0.35 & get the same external disc error. Update: Just went into the GBC Plugin in the Configurator & noticed that all the Windows Games show up but the exe they were linked to no longer show up even though that info shows up in the gamebrowser.xml file? i then went & linked an exe file to a game, closed out of the Configurator, opened it back up & the setting is not saved, even after 3 attaempts, & the XML file stays at 0k even after deleting it & trying to save the game link again. ArCaDe 2
Is that something I can fix myself or has to be fixed in GBC, etc?
ebr 14923
No, it needs to be fixed by the program. Red - it looks like your configuration has no root element. Everything in an XML file has to be under one root. Uhhhh...strike that - the files posted do seem to have a root but the xml reader is getting tripped up somehow...
ebr 14923
Redshirt - be sure you haven't added a type to your config file that the xml serializer doesn't know how to deal with. For instance, most Dictionaries are not handled by the standard xml serializer.
Redshirt 1487
I'm using a variation of the settings that was in the old mb2 music plugin that nephylem started. Its worked until recently... Truth be told this is the same issue that's happening with Trakt for MBC.
