Emby Server Crashes Multiple Times Per Day

Hello, 

 

I am running an emby server (premier), and it is crashing almost every hour. 

 

The server is running Ubuntu 16.04 with 4 vcpu and 8g of ram - Vultr

 

I have attached the server log for reference, For some reason it has alot of errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need anymore information please ask . Thank you!

Hello, My server just crashed again. it looks like it might have to do with something called mono. I will edit the main topic with a new log.

Hi, we have a new installation package on our website:

https://emby.media/download.html

 

This is based on .net core and no longer uses mono. I would recommend switching to that. You will need to purge the mono installation though. Thanks.

Awesome! How do i purge the mono installation? i just did the sudo apt-get remove emby-server. is that enough?

apt-get purge --autoremove emby-server

 

With this, you not only uninstall the server, but also delete configuration files and remove extra dependencies no longer needed.
