Try replaceing your custom profile with this one and restart your server and see if it makes a difference.

Is just the TV rejecting playback as the log does show any errors that I can see..

@Happy2Play

Hm what do we do now? Could it be the audio or some subtitles?

I can't see anything in the logs.  But here is one more change to try.

No, you don't need to reinstall.   Looking at your original logs, are your subtitles internal/inside the mp4 or external?

Looking at that my best guess is your subtitles are the issue.  But not sure if I am interpreting that correctly as I don't use subs.

■ Supported Subtitles formats

● MicroDVD, SubRip, TMPlayer (.srt, .sub, .txt)
The video file and subtitles text file are inside the same folder, and the file names are the same except for the file extensions.

● If there are more than one subtitles text files inside the same folder, they are displayed in the following order of priority: ".srt", ".sub", ".txt".

@@Happy2Play looks like that should direct play, no?

Without subtitles I would say yes.

To me only external subs are supported by TV.

That's OK because we can still direct play the video and then feed in the subtitles externally, so i would just give him a profile that will direct play it. thanks.

That still comes back to the method of playback.

@@Luke can you see the playback requests in any of the previous logs?

Is it completely impossible that something broke over time or some settings broke the ability to stream those mp4? I may vague remember that I saw some mpeg2s or something like that, instead of the mp4 file, first time ever I tried emby. But its only vague because I can't remember exactly if it was an mp4 file which got tagged as mpeg2s (or similar) and was playable. Could that theoreticaly be possible? That's why I asked if I should reinstall.

Why do you ask?

All I see is "Info UpnpContentDirectory: Profile: Panasonic Viera-Custom, Path: G:\Filme und Serien\Series\Game Of Thrones\Staffel 6\S06E10.Die Winde des Winters.mp4, isEligibleForDirectPlay: True, isEligibleForDirectStream: True", but nothing else.

I hope I do not write to much between your conversation. I may add that I always tried to play several files each time we changed profile. Most of the time one or two out of the path of ...\Staffel 7\..

Do you have any mp4 files without subtitles to test with?

And start over using original profile (delete custom profile from dashboard).

The file should work.

And yes it would be good to know what other formats work or don't work also.

okay I tried to play it with your custom file -> did not work.

I deleted custom file, restarted server, did not add any custom profiles -> did not work.

meanwhile I have a ffmpeg-transcode log in my log but from 11:48 PM. This stuff has a huge delay I guess?!?

here is the ffmpeg log 1 hour ago: #deleted logs

But I see some file paths I never tried. See 5. first two lines. This is an .avi file which I never tried to play. Oh and now I tried to play it! it plays but the screen is green shuttered, can't see anything. (with twonky working).

Seems like not only mp4 is not working, avi does neither.

latest server log: #deleted logs

p.s Its already late in EU, I will be back in 8 hours and checking your next post :-)

I hope we can figure this out. If you write some things to test I'll test them in 8 hours.

see you soon.
