JoshFink 19 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 I know I must be missing something simple that maybe I changed when I first installed. When I was setting this up I was always logging in as myself. Now that things are mostly working I wanted it, on launch to be able to go to the login screen and you either select myself or the Kids user. I have the kids user set up but I can't figure out what I need to do to get it to ask at each login. Thanks Josh
djhifi 55 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 (edited) @@JoshFink You need to login with an Admin account onto EMBY server app and enable the login prompt of the users you want showing up. This is done by clicking in "users" tab of the said UI. After that scroll down and check the corresponding boxes. Edited March 7, 2017 by djhifi
JoshFink 19 Posted March 7, 2017 Author Posted March 7, 2017 Thanks @@djhifi, I have that all enabled (i'll attach the screenshot). What should the setting be on the Kodi/Emby plugin? Right now mine is set to manual and it has a user name in it. Should I clear that out? Should it be set to Emby Connect in there? I think I've tried both but I can try it again. Josh PS.. The user that I attached doesn't show an email address attached for Emby connect. I did that afterwards but it's there and working.
djhifi 55 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 (edited) @@JoshFink I thought the OP was in reference to the server side. Apologies. It seems you have everything correctly set on that matter. Regarding the specific issue you can leave it manual. What you must do is create the number of profiles you need in KODI itself. Then they will be presented after each restart/power on. Furthermore (and I don't know your actual awareness), "Emby Connect" would need you to register with Emby Media, on each user you would like. I personally don't use it as it involves PIN codes cross-checkings. And, in my opinion, is best suited for external streaming (i.e. If you want to access your home server while you are away and you don't remeber the external WAN IP). Btw, don't forget to configure everything with each profile you go on creating. I personally don't use that scheme because I only need 1 user per machine (3 machines 3 users). But to the best of my knowledge what I've said is the correct way to go if you would like the opposite I have (3 users 1 machine). Report back if solved please. Edited March 7, 2017 by djhifi

djhifi 55 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 (edited) Hey, no problem. Glad it's sorted. You have it further explained in here as well (where else ): http://kodi.wiki/view/Profiles Cheers. Edited March 7, 2017 by djhifi
