blade005 172
Can we get a Default Naming Scheme for recordings that are Daily Series that are unique? Something similar to what WMC does with all Recordings. Series Name_RecordDate_RecordStartTime This would only be for recordings marked as Series in Guide Data, that don't have Season and Episode number information. (Daily Talk Shows, Daily News Shows) This would give unique Identifiers for Daily Episodes and/or Multiple Episodes within a day. Just a thought. Luke 37132
Hi, it needs to be a naming convention that Emby Server supports. the choices are listed here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming So internally, the recording process is choosing one of those based on available data. Luke, I am kicking the tires on Recording Live TV and with daily shows, such as Charlie Rose and BBC World News, they are being written with just the Series Name and nothing else. The guide data has them tagged as Series, but they don't have Season and Episode information. Does Auto Organize only work if you want to move recordings into another library location? What if you want them to stay in the series folder created in Recording Directory, but to get a unique naming convention. How do I accomplish that? Luke 37132
currently it puts the original air date into the file name if there is no episode number. what we can do is improve that to use today's date if there is no original air date.

That would be helpful, because I am getting nothing but the series name on daily or even weekly news programs that don't have episode numbers. UPDATE: Installed Beta 128 with following update: Ensure date is in recording file name when episode number is not available Tested a few non-episode number shows and it did append with date. Thanks, Luke. Edited August 29, 2016 by blade005
