Tanamur 53 Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 The movie has to be added to a specific collection XML to be included. Just having the ID in the nfo file is not enough. If the plugin isn't adding them when it runs, that is a bug in the plugin. Thanks for that explanation. With the plug-in re-installed, I am still experiencing movies that exist in TMDB not being added to collections that are recognized as standalone movies. After re-installing the plug-in I am no longer experiencing movies being removed from the collections that I previously flagged (Austin Powers, Bourne, etc). So, some progress but the time consuming part of manually adding movies to collections (XML) still seems to be a problem automating with the plug-in for me.

Tanamur 53 Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 If you go to Plugins -> Auto Boxsets and click on the Refresh button, are they added to your collections? I had tried that a couple of times before reporting here. I went back and did it again and then looked at the server log (see below). It appears it is working for some movies & collections but having problems with other movies. There does not seem to be a pattern. I do see that the paths to the movies that failed are frequently in error and reflect old paths. For example, all MP4 movies now have [resolution] indicators as part of the folder name. I have cleaned and reran Media Library Scan at least 20 times. Do you have any suggestions how to truly clean up these old paths from the database? 2016-01-01 15:13:43.9162 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 17235 to Hellboy II: The Golden Army 2016-01-01 15:13:44.0697 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 9332 to Crocodile Dundee 2016-01-01 15:13:44.2325 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 230 to The Godfather 2016-01-01 15:13:44.3484 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 8091 to Alien: Resurrection 2016-01-01 15:13:44.4487 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 260601 to Turks & Caicos 2016-01-01 15:13:44.6684 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 339577 to Death Proof 2016-01-01 15:13:44.7717 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 119674 to Psycho 2016-01-01 15:13:44.8876 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 556 to Spider-Man 2016-01-01 15:13:44.9878 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 52785 to xXx 2016-01-01 15:13:45.1193 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 102322 to Sherlock Holmes 2016-01-01 15:13:45.2352 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 131635 to The Hunger Games 2016-01-01 15:13:45.3350 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 8979 to Wayne's World 2016-01-01 15:13:45.4509 Info Auto Box Sets: Auto Box Sets Adding TmdbCollectionId of 96665 to Dumb and Dumber 2016-01-01 15:13:45.7047 Info Auto Box Sets: Automatic BoxSet creation completed. 2016-01-01 15:13:45.7047 Info HttpServer: HTTP Response 204 to 192.168.0.nnn. Koleckai Silvestri 1150 Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Did your drives go to sleep during the scan?
Tanamur 53 Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 Did your drives go to sleep during the scan? Hi @@Koleckai Silvestri - Sorry for the late reply but I could not get into the forum for the last few days. I cannot say with 100% certainty but the single, external USB3 disk of movies is shared under a UNC path and directly connected to the Emby server on a NUC i5. I don't ever recall a video lag or it entering sleep mode. I have run the Clean Database and Scan Media Library several times followed by manually starting the Auto Box Set Plug-in. I have observed the number of movies in the collections come and go during the scans. They do seem to be cleaning up over time and the paths reporting errors are no longer being reported in the log. For now, I don't have a lot more time to troubleshoot it. Thanks for your help.
earthtorob 5 Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Guest: "You don't have the new Minions movie?" Me: "It is under D for Despicable Me." Guest: "Oh, I was looking in the M movies." Forcing things into collections makes them hard to find for some people. Other times you might want to watch all three Despicable Me movies in order so you have a collection or box set to do that. I queued up the collection like a playlist to keep kids entertained just the other night. They could watch movies in one room and the adults could talk in another. No worrying about queuing up new movies or the player stopping in the middle. Me: "If you knew the name of the movie you wanted then why not just use the search function instead of scrolling down the library?" Guest: "I like doing things the hard way and then complaining that your system is hard to use."
Luke 38985 Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 We don't actually force them into collections unless you enable a setting for it, and that setting is off by default.
